The ONLY weakness of Bitcoin as I see it, is telling others you have it. I once saw a meme illustrating that problem. A couple of hackers were congratulating themselves over how secure their Bitcoin was, and then a thug intrudes with a baseball bat, demanding Bitcoin. So, I play poor while stacking my SATs.

It is NOT private. When you initially buy bitcoin (legally) you will have to verify your identity with a passport and PROOF OF ADDRESS. It is highly portable however

Unfortunately, Switzerland is less and less neutral. FATCA can track Swiss citizen fiat transactions. What a shame that they have accepted such a submission.

Bitcoin´s arrival on the global stage is timely as the Swiss Banking system has had to take a knee before the Western Banking system giants and their economic and military might. FATCA has been implemented and Swiss Banks now are having to disclose what before was private. In fact, unless you are a Swiss resident, with full disclosure of bank holdings and tax compliance, you are locked out of the Swiss banking system, even if you are a Swiss citizen.
