The Best (and Hardest) Life: Titus

It's me, again (the ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina). This passage from the Book of Titus is read in my church on Christmas Eve as a New Testament/Epistle Lesson. The Advent Season is over and on this night, we all stumble into the pews usually tired, weary, and burned out from the hustle and bustle and commercialism of what we have been bombarded with since or even before Thanksgiving. On this night, the four Advent Candles are extinguished at the big Center Candle, the Christ Candle, is lit. Now, Light has been brought into the dark world. Now, we prepare for Christmas Day, usually a day with family and friends and children playing with their new toys that St. Nicholas brought them. We can prepare for Christmas Day by reading and/or singing Psalm 97.

You can do all things in JESUS NAME... The best thing to do is pray, and fight off the distraction in JESUS NAME... Remove some of the distraction, by staying away from whatever is distracting you for a day, and ask God to strengthen you to go without your distraction for more than a day... Read Romans 4: 17-25, it speaks about Abraham's faith in GOD'S promise... If you are on KZbin, try to watch more GODLY stuff, and clear your KZbin history. I will pray for you in JESUS NAME, and I know God will deliver you. I was struggling with being distracted too, but I prayed and ask God to help me, and God is helping me to be less distracted. You just have to try to focus on God as much as possible, these distraction will always be present so we have get our focus on JESUS, and keep away from the world.. Stay bless, and don't stop praying until you are delivered in JESUS NAME.

Can someone explain a few points for me ? If He has given us a new heart and causes us to walk in His statutes and love His law etc why do we struggle with sin and fall to temptations and disobey sometimes and struggle and more ? I cant understand why Im like I am in a lot of ways

The same way Paul struggled because we are in the flesh. Flesh has to be depressed for the spirit man to be raised up ubove sin.

"happy" hope is a superficial interpretation of the meaning of the word 'blessed hope'. We know that blessed means happy but you must UNDERSTAND that the word blessed is much deeper than happy happy, please tell people that 'blessed' truly means having the understanding and confidence that your on the right road and that is why it is a blessed hope. When Jesus used the word blessed 9 times his talk on the hill (sermon on the mount), he meant that his followers should feel/be confident that they are on the right road, thus, blessed, not happy-happy. How superficial we are to be merely happy.
