Glad you liked the last lighthouse. Just received the last 2 expansions and I will have to see how they shake up the already awesome base game.

I like seeing how your opinions change over time. My gaming group meets about once a month and we wax and wane on some games while other old favorites stay constant. In December-January we played Crokinole, Wingspan (vanilla, no expansions), Wyrmspan, Hotshots, and Horrified (new Greek monsters). It was a pretty light couple of months for us- usually we try at least half a dozen new games and pull out half a dozen old favorites, but it’s always fun either way.

That's more board games in December than days...

Finally got in my first play of Orleans! We absolutely loved it all said and done. First few round we messed up the events thinking they happened immediately. 😂😬. It was quite terrifying/defeating! Once we worked that problem out it was snooth sailing and i can tell it will ne one of my favorites to break out. Played with oders cards and new beneficial deeds board from trade and intigue expansion. Used coin capsules to give followers tokens a semi premium feel and i couldnt be happier. Hoping to get the gang played this upcoming weekend for a friends birthday get together. So many new games to try! 😬

You are missing the point of tier ranking. Assuming B tier is for average games, whole idea of S and A tier entries is that they are above average, so if you have 90% of games in that tier it is no longer above average and loses its value.

What you're missing is that people tend to be a good enough judge of product that they just don't *try* the things that would end up below B. The "bell curve around B" approach to tier lists can only be expected in closed datasets where the reviewer has enough exposure to all of the entries to be able to rank them all. In cases like this, where there are ten times more items than you can feasibly experience, you will always prioritise experiencing the ones you expect to be good, which results in a list that leans towards high ratings, provided you're good at pre-judging.

I played that version of Terraforming, and while it was okay I couldn’t help thinking “I could easily play Its a Wonderful World.” If you haven’t play that check it out!

I like this ranking video series, especially because you keep updating your opinions 👌 Totally agree with The Last Lighthouse and Death Valley, they both also have remarkable and outstanding artwork! Of course Wingspan is an S, I'm curious what you'll think about Finspan 😌 Mysticana is one of the only Button Shy projects I didn't back, I like more when every game has its on theme, system and art. But Codex Naturalis should be one rank higher in comparison to Mysticana in my eyes... Skyteam: I will buy this game finally and try out your solo mode 🙂 you already tried out the Turbulence expansion? Talking about Coffee games, one favorite of me is 'Vivajava the coffee game the dice game' ! Together with 'Café'...
