I think the Adrian/Rocky talk in 3 was one of my favorite moments in the movie. She isn't saying "you can't win" or any of that. She is motivating him to keep going and to not give up. Easily one of my favorites in the series

Completely agree. It’s the major turning point for Roxy’s arch in the movie. And to be fair to her in Rocky IV, Apollo was literally just killed by the same boxer. She has every right to not want him to fight

Paulie is the greatest character in Rocky, and its all because his arc lasts over the entire franchise, and in Rocky Balboa, you get to see the catalyst of it and the pain paulie is in.

24:50 either you spoke too soon or you don't see that she is right in Rocky 4. She told him why does he need to fight. That it's dangerous. Turns out she was right. In Rocky 3 she was the one that had him face his fears.

this is one of the quintessential franchises that if you ever see one of the movies on tv, you probably have to watch at least a few minutes. The only Rocky movie I have actually seen in full from start to finish is Rocky IV (mainly because of the crazy reputation it has). Truly a wild choice to have a 90 minute movie turn into a music video on multiple occasions. Still an iconic movie Creed is definitely one of the best rebooquels out there. 2015 was an impressive year for franchise revivals. The force awakens (which, unpopular opinion, is a great movie), mad max 4 and creed

I can bet that MBJ put a lot of his own insecurity about being the son of a celebrated sports legend into Donnie. You can tell when he says stuff like "i want my own pegacy but domt want to lose my heritage". Being Jordan's son must be hard and hes kinda like what Rocky was to Stallone. The onscreen version kf his own story. MBJ is great amd i rate him highly. Creed II is the best for me.

45:00 is the dumbest of all the movies in the series. It makes you think that Rocky is an asshole as I person. I say this because it's saying that Rocky never talked to Apollo's wife after his death. That he just cut her off to fend for herself and deal with his death. That Adrian did the same. It's also the problems I have now with Rocky 5 and 6. Apollo's wife was no where to be seen in those movies. Rocky and Apollo become such great friends, but their families don't? Her and Adrian are not great friends? Adrian is such an evil woman as to not go and help her with Apollo's death? Apollo's wife doesn't reach out to Rocky after the hellish beating he takes to average Apollo or when Rocky and his family lose it all? Those are things that don't make sense to how the characters are. So in reality Adonis and Rocky's son would have grown up together or at least meet. There could have been a movie their were Rocky feeling guilty is focusing on Adonis too much and gets him fighting. Or you have them becoming rivals with Adonis being jealous and mad about not having his father while Rocky's kid is mad about being poor and not valuing his family. That's why I think the Creed movies are the dumbest and should not exist the way they do.

2:55 Their relationship would not have happened without that. She was way too shy to let her guard down without a push. Also, why is this too much but the "abuse" that lead to here even going on this date not? Then later in the flim their is violence with a bat, but all that is ok. No he didn't Grape her or force here. He kissed her and she kissed back. That's how it was back in the day. Good women didn't just throw themselves at men they wanted so easily as they do now. Men were not too afraid to pursue a woman and kiss them without written consent forms first.

Pretty good review. I agree with a decent amount of the stuff you said... although you got that new age "dorky/arrogant/entitled" energy with some feminity thrown in, so i expected some of your veiw points to vastly differ from mine. (Which they do)
