Mounted 195 on 7 before, depending on the tire it doesnt stretch at all

This is how to work out what you can stretch to: Multiply the width of the wheel by 25.4, this will give you the measurement in Milimeters of how wide the tyre should be. Then just take an inch/inch and a half off. For example: 9j's 9x25.4=228.6. lets call it 225 for standard. I'd stretch to 195's at the most.

I have a stretched down a size (225 to 215) and the rims' offset makes it look like a poke fitment but my rims is just about the fender, so it's kinda not? Stock suspension so I had to do the math. Looks good and classy IMO.

Not something like a 195/50 on a 10 or 12 is a bit to much. But something like a 225/45 on a 9 is fine in my eyes. The former is ALOT of stretch, to the point of undrivability, but the latter is fine. Its a bit of stretch but not to much, and I have been able to do track and drift days with that kind of set up.

I was surprised kumho ecsta made the list. I ran ecsta tires stretched 255/35R18 on 10.5 wide wheel and the sidewalls had huge bubbles in them after 2 months. Now I run falken azenis same size tire. The side wall is thicker so I rub a little now but zero problems and it’s a cheap long lasting summer performance tire. Only downside is handling around corners is compromised a little do to the stretch.

Currently running a toyo t-1r 195/45/15 on a 10” widened basset steel rim. Its for my golf 3, rims have an offset of -12 and there are no way they will fit under the arches so i guess i will have to widebody it😁. Other details about my bild is: - bigger turbo (runs at about 32 pounds of boost atm) - adjusted the diesel pump - big front mount -EBC rotors, yellowstuff pads and brand new calipers - TA coilovers with homemade camberbrachets -and a couple other visual mods😛 I am currently 17 years old and i will hopefullt get my license in about a year, hope to see the car finnished by then it has been a real blast up intill now atleast😅

Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2's are another good higher performance tire that stretches well, sidewall is a bit meaty but it holds a stretch well.

Philip Koscica can attest to this, ran a 255/35 on an 11 and it never gave me an issue. Was also extremely easy to stretch, thought I’d have to use a cheetah to mount it but it just aired right up. I run a 265/35 federal 595 now and the sidewall is way beefier than the hankook’s

I have some Nitto NT555G2 225/40 on my 18x10.5 and the stretch looks good, no sidewall issues, no grip issues and they hold air fine. They went on pretty easy and I'll definitely be getting them again
