i've known Halle since she and her sister Chloe did covers of songs on KZbin, and the way her voice just keeps improving is so incredible !! also a really cool fun fact, Halle recorded this performance in the freezing cold weather at Disneyland 6 times over at 3am. just even more proof of how talented she is ! and as always, this was another amazing reaction and amazing breakdown of her vocals, thanks for reacting !!

I hate to break it to you, but she does do that sometimes. And it’s not to show off, they have to explain the details as they are happening. If you wait all the time until the performance is over, you’ll forget some crucial moments that you could’ve explained. The connection aspect is spot on. I think we are all resonating with Halle and her performance here because we all know this song in one way or another, we’ve all been through something very similar to what Ariel goes through in the story; being oppressed for how one looks, or how able bodied one is. Before this there were very few black Disney princesses and protagonists. The story takes on a whole new meaning with Halle in the role.
