It's very common for people to come on singing shows and sound nearly as good as Beyonce, Mariah, or Whitney. I have yet to see someone come on a singing show and do a Christina song like Christina and that is saying something. She has one of the most distinctive tones I think the pop world has ever seen and her style of singing is just not easy to replicate. Shes so unique and incredible at what she does and she is a huge inspiration to vocalist.

You should react to Christina's performance of Hurt at the 2006 VMA's, she shows some strong technique in a very different way that this performance: Neutral larynx, good vibrato control, just using all parts of her voice in typical christina fashion and the kicker was - she was sick for itbut still nailed it (you only noticed it in her falsetto)

I don't know about others, but this was the best interpretation of this song, I've seen several, but how is none of them. My impression is that her realest and most vulnerable sound is 07:30-07:36, whereas the belting is more the result of an aesthetical choice.

Amazing! #xtina is a vocal savage! I love her so much. She has her own incredible vocal technique and shows she can jump in and out of it for stylistic purpose which reminds me of her examples from her master class!
