I'm sure that there will be faster runners than bolt in the future, but in terms of spirit, heart, kindness, talent, joy, and motivation, Bolt will always be on top. I don't care if someone runs a 8 second 100 meter, if you ask me who the best sprinter is I will always say Bolt. He brought so much to the games, and when he was racing, you wanted him to win no matter what team you were on. bowl was like Muhammad Ali. He brought more to the game then just winning he changed it. Bolt said it simply when he said, I am the greatest. because he is, and always will be .

Then the 2008 Olympics came and bolt got those 3 medals and ever since, bolt has always been at the top. Now that he's retired it's strange to see Jamaican men not sprinting at that high level, but in everything there is a season and this was bolt's Era. So now we just need to look to the future for things to come. (I also share a birthday with usain bolt, but that's not important )

I only watched Olympic for bolt and when they said when he ran we ran with him I got goosebumps.. I got intrested in 100 m sprinting just beacuse of bolt he was my idle and a kind of entity who gave me the hope of light whenever I felt like a looser..thanks bolt for all of that.. His iconic pose was a must for me whenever I won before my injury.

This guy is above Messi, Ronaldo and others mentioned here. To dominate and shatter the 100m and 200m records the way he did... that is absolutelly fantastic. Just count how many times he ran under 9.8s and 19.6s, compare it to the others in history and you will get a big picture of his achievements. Add to that the 4x100m medals and records. A unique individual and also seems to be a beautiful human being (respectful, modest, empatic).

The most thrilling thing I saw of Bolt throughout his career, was that gesture after he had cross the in in that first 100m in Beijing, it gives me goose pimples, similar for me [an avid aviation watcher] like when a big jet developing speed to take off, and to think he was roundly criticize for what was highly entertaining for me.

Usain bolt will be remembered not only for being the fastest male athlete but Someone with a personality admired by the world including his rivals. He lighted up the track with not only his speed but his personality. This man's very name raises eyebrows, faster runners may be in the distant future, I don't know...... One thing I know,.... Matthew Biggin that is also an amazingly extraordinary achievement. I named two people, but if we go across the sports world, we can find a few other extremely dominant figures. When thinking of Bolt’s dominance, achievements, stage of competition, and how his performances will hold up over a lengthy span of time, I thought, “Is there any other athlete paralleling him in any way...”. Simone Biles popped into mind effortlessly, that’s why I mentioned her, not to take away from any other person that exudes this level of greatness. If anyone feels others belong, feel free to weigh in!

Lo Li Phelps had a great run in 2008 olympics winning 8 gold medals; That was special. I think it’s a great over all achievement. As far as individual events, I think many of his times will be beaten, but 8 gold medals in one olympics will stand the test of time for quite some time. His endurance and will to do that was special.
