These are definitely my fav isolation products. I like them so much and I have 6 delta extreme under my spks and 10 wellfloat delta! And I fully agree with your findings. One of the reason I like this product so much is that it does not alter the tonal balance! However I found wellfloat board does alter the sound a bit especially the A4 size board. I believe is the board material. There is a ‘wellfloat coating’ version board and that does not alter much from what I hear.
@GreekAudioGeekАй бұрын
Hi - thanks for commenting! I have their boards that has the coating you are referencing so I have not experienced them altering the sound. I've never tired the regular version though so it may well be true.

@@ClassifiedBrief It's decent but for high resolution systems it is not "far better than anything". What other vibration pieces have you tried your Sorbothane against? I've tried them and they give you $20 upgrade in sound which is great for some systems, and not so great for others.
@arize844 ай бұрын
I had a similar experience with the Deltas. I wasn't expecting much of difference since my system sit on concrete floors in basement. I was shocked by the improvement, more resolution, better imaging, and improved bass articulation. They significantly outperformed my gaia feet (which to me reduced dynamics while slightly improving sound stage).

@Mongodaze234Ай бұрын
I think the concept of using rigid fiberglass works really well for decoupling & absorption which is also used for a lot of room treatment. These things really cleaned & opened up the sound. Have a look on their website. There’s lots of info there.

You're Greek they're English. Who gets more sun? 😂 I have 4 inch custom sandboxes with marble slab tops on gaia 2 on 85 lb speakers with outriggers. Concrete slab was way out of level necessitating the sandboxes so I could level both speakers to the sitting position. There is a 3/4 inch wool rug for most of the room as well. The bottom of the sandboxes are polished and waxed 16 gauge steel so I can slide the whole 110 lb. thing around to wherever I want. I don't think I need the gaias but still experimenting.

Hi Keith - I did try them on an area rug. Same fantastic performance.
@KeithSkronek4 ай бұрын
I see pictures where folks set the speaker/component on WellFloat, then on a spiked platform when on a carpet. A padded carpet is much cushier than an area rug and I’m really concerned there would be too much cushion/wobble when placed directly on a padded carpet floor. The only way to find out is to try it.

@@KeithSkronek Hi Keith - I ALWAYS agree everyone needs to try for themselves. In my past experience with padded carpets speakers quickly settle into the padding under the cushion and they are soon resting on the sub floor. I can't say for sure, but with the WF's being so low vs. other products I think you'd be OK. But I agree you need to try for sure.
