Shotgun mics, well depends how much you want to spend. Any of the rode 'ntg' series will get the job done, the ntg1 is around 175-190$. Whereas the ntg4 is upwards of 225$. Personally I love the sound of the ntg3, powerful low end, lovely mids and crisp highs.

So I've been looking at 400+, the diety s2+ and Azden SGM-3500L look appealing but that super expensive Sennheiser MKH416 would be my permanent microphone for forever if I got it. The Rode NTG3 looks like the option I might want if I don't want to spend MKH416 money I just want something clear and highlights the lows in my voice since the AT875R can't capture the warmth in my voice.

@@icedoutshef if you were going for a 3950x why would you pair it with a B450 motherboard?
@adamdenton47514 жыл бұрын
@@icedoutshef I'm at 67°C after a few hours of gaming on my pretty b450 steel legend full ATX which the guy in the video said was trash and over priced. Voltage is 1.22 stock is 1.85 I think
@PaulShare14 жыл бұрын
Wow, this video was just excellent - the timing perfect. I had only just ordered the parts fpr my buld, but after watching this I cancelled the Motherboard and ordered the MSI (your second choice). The PSU & Motherboard in my view are not the place to save money -quality here is what matters if you want things to last. Great help. I actually thing there are too many motherboards making things not easy.

If your gonna overclock, my advice is dont go with Gigabyte, their bios is literal garbo because of that Dynamic v core thing and its a pain to get the exact voltage you want

I am surprised he didn't say anything about the MSI b450 Tomahawk MAX, and it is not listed in his Tier breakdown-only the first edition b450 Tomahawk. The newer MSI b450 Tomahawk MAX has larger heatsinks on the VRM's and also will go up 4,133 Mhz. RAM where as the first edition only went up to 3,466 Mhz. The MSI b450 Tomahawk MAX has a larger BIOS chip also than the previous edtion. Both editions of the Tomahawk have very robust 4+2 VRM's as well and has gotten rave reviews and some consider the MSI b450 Tomahawk MAX as the top choice for durability as well, even over a lot of the new x570 motherboards. Personally, I would recommend the MSI b450 Tomahawk MAX as the best board out of all b450's.

Just putting it out there, but the Asrock B450 pro4 has USB 3.1 gen 2 while the F variant only has USB 3.1 Gen 1.

Guys I have a noob question. I'm gonna be building my very own pc in the next month or so. Would like to ask what would be the best setup for a $1000 budget? I was actually thinking on building around the ryzen 5 3600, or which do u guys prefer? A Ryzen 3600x? Please do let me know. I want it to be mostlh concentrated around gaming with a little bit of school work. Thank you guys so much in advance.
@zeronin46964 жыл бұрын
For just gaming and school work i would recommend: Ryzen 5 3600 (3600x just on sales) Msi b450 tomahawk/mortar max Radeon 5700xt 16gb ram (2x8sticks!) 3000mhz cl15 or 3200mhz 16cl And a ssd for windows This setup will cost you around 1k but if you wanna streaming or raytracing feature you'll pay some more money for a rtx 2060s or 2070. Also video quality will depend on your monitor too dont forget that (resolution and hz)

MSI B450 Pro VDH Max is rated at 100amps. Supposedly tested by a forum member at Linus Ted Tips that reviews motherboards. They say its a good mobo. It goes for like 80 dollars. Actually have it on my current build. Its been great.

B450M Pro4 - 3 phases with parts doubled to look like 6, 2 hi-side mosfets, 2 lo-side mosfets per phase, heatsink is kinda small ... B450M Steel - 4 phases, 1 hi-side, 2 lo-side per phase... so a bit better than above model (hi-side mosfets aren't that critical) .. heatsink may be a bit better

@@randomjack477 it works, but I’d reccomended going with something more expensive since the B450M-A II has headers in bad positions, and doesn’t have a USB C header. The fan headers are also in bad positions so wiring your fans is not fun. The motherboard has no lights to tell you if something is going wrong, and is constantly being illuminated orange

I have the Asrock B450 HDV Rel 4.0 motherboard for $60, absolutely no problem with my Ryzen 3 2200G and I expect no problems with future APUs. Officially it is specified for a TDP of 105 Watt, but maybe that is somewhat optimistic.

No love for B450m-Mortar(max)? It has a very good VRM and heatsink + 2x m.2 slots and it's cheaper than tomahawk :) There's some availability issues but still it's probably top5 of b450 boards and the best in mATX layout.

The difference between the B450 Pro4 and the Pro4-F is NOT just color, the Pro4 has an additional USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-A Port above the USB-C Port and the Pro4-F does not.
