I agree with you on the Aldur's boots. Probably my favorite boots to wear when I'm not hungry for MF and need to wear War Travs. Plus, I always end up finding Aldur's well before I get a pair of War Travs anyway. I wear them on most of the characters I play, unless I need the crushing blow from gore riders or something. 40 FRW, 50 Life, 10% dmg to mana, 40-50FR.. just great stats for a pair of easily obtainable boots. I haven't played a javazon before, but I'm getting the urge to after watching your vids on it. I've played bowazon plenty and it's my 3rd favorite char behind blizz sorc and trapsin. I may have to give this a try soon.

In the shields: i like these 2 very nice options Sanctuary: for resistances max block and good dext, that it translates some more damage for the amazon. and i don´t know why nobody uses the next one?? Dream: is amazing it has confuse curse, FHR, resistances, MF, extra life and mana, and the main feature: holy shock aura, it increases your ligthning damage very vey good i tried with it and i love it

I love to use Delirium on my Javazon. The 5% chance to cast confuse on striking will almost certainly cast as you throw a lightning fury, which can save your ass for a while when the enemy density was quite high. But it can be really annoying when the delirium skill activate and you turn into an undead stygian tho.

it doesnt if u arent going for mf and just want clear speed. Chains/Fort are just fine as well, but i do agree, that many builds (zerker barb) pretty much require enigma to be viable

Over here in Path of Diablo they added 2 second cooldown to the teleport on Enigma. Fortunately it is still GG, but the nerf adds a lot of build diversity.

I disagree that amazon is the best baal runner. Her biggest disadvantage is slow time getting to throne room. Lightning sorceress can do that much quicker and her killing speed of waves is almost just as fast (using static field). Where amazon is definitely faster is killing baal, but I don't think it compensates slow teleportation.

The dual leech benefits a lot from the attack rating. That is some good use out of the minimal added damage. One more thing about the enigma though: that 8% damage reduction seems to be overlooked a lot but it's amazing and it works well with the 5% to max life which benefits from the extra points in vitality because you get a lot of strength. Even without the plus to skills, teleport and mf, those three mods are what makes the enigma great. You can get the plus skills and mf elsewhere and teleport charges are a bit of a hassle to switch to if you also have a cta and to recharge, but when you don't yet have an inventory filled with skillers and mf/res/life charms, a couple of gems, rings, amus and wands/orbs fixes that problem easily. What I'm saying is that the order of impact the mods on this armor have should probably be ranked as follows: 1: added strength(=vit) 2: 8% damage reduction 3: 5% to bigger butt 4: 45 frw o_O (arguably that beats 5% bigger butt but I like big butts and I can't deny. Walking faster doesn't just speed up things, it keeps you safe in many situations, although on a javazon you have charged strike so yeah, bigger butt>faster walking) 5: bonkers amounts of mf for free with all this safefy 6: less hassle with teleporting=allowing for easier and much faster cta use and saving time on not having to pick up trash for gold 7: 14 life per kill is a lot, but only in crowded areas like chaos, cows, pit, etc. 8: 15% dmg to mana(depending on situations LIKE WITH BAAL'S stupid mana drain and crits this goes up in usefulness up to 4th place, but generally it's just a super nice convenient time saver and not a life saver) If you're playing an mf sorc, you don't care much about the tele, life per kill and hopefully you don't get too much mana from getting punched in the face and this still is the best armor in the game to mf and stay alive while doing it. The defence rating though... Might as well be 0. Maybe it's of some use if you're going to tele and walk with a paladin or barbarian or maybe a druid, but in all other cases having 10% block chance already does more than having defence. Pump that to between 30% and 50%, combine it with damage reduction and extra vit and you have plenty of time to heal up before the next hit land -says the guy who got caught by two boss groups of flayers with might and fanatism, got cursed and died wearing an enigma. Did I mention your tele and your attacks can be interrupted :p

Now, I took a spearazon (no jav skills), to finish Hell, on HC p8, so it's not like I only play super duper builds, but if I posted that video I would say, she's subpar even at P1, can do the damage necessary at P8, but is 10x slower than a Javazon. These people make awesome build videos and don't bother telling anyone that it will take 1 minute per mob if you try to p8 with it.

Hey Dbrunski, just wanted to say that "Equipped" is the past tense of "Equip" I've noticed in a lot of your videos you seem to use the word "Equipped" interchangeably and I wasn't sure if you we're doing it on purpose or not. In the case of "So that is the highest strength that I need to equipped all my gear on this character." Instead you would say "So that is the highest strength that I need to equip all my gear on this character." For example to point out something you have already worn, you would say "I have this gear equipped" but to say you were going to, you would instead say "I will equip this gear" and so on. Or something more complex such as "I will equip this equipment." or "This equipment has been equipped." Honestly the words "equip" "equipped" and "equipment" aren't often used in English anymore, so I can understand if it's just a case of not seeing or using the word outside of Diablo 2. Anyway I hope that didn't come off as me being rude, I'm just trying to point something out I'm not sure if you had ever noticed. I have noticed you still do this even in your most recent videos and maybe you just didn't know. Cheers and thanks for the videos!

I honestly don't like the idea "put enigma on almost every char". I prefer using COH and upped mosser's with two perfect lite rainbow facets. I also use razortail. With enigma, you have to sacrifice, mainly becauase of the teleport, which is not so good experience on a javazon. Why I should fly over walls? I just want to wipe everything out on my way in WK. It's such a pleasure with javazon on players 1. You can also find some worthy item or rune. Just my opinion. I do Players 8 baal runs in about 3 minutes (players 1 before throne of destruction). Which isn't much slower than enigma build. And my merc is not that good geared. I use e bug treachery, because I still don' have free Lo runes to make Forti on my mercs. P.S. I love your videos and I appreciate everything you upload. Keep doing such a great d2 videos!

Dbrunski you showed me that the best possible diablo 2 experience is actually single player with plugY. The social aspect of it is super flawed right now, and until the remaster comes out and likely even after, this is the best experience. One year has passed since your comment, D2R has been released. Tbh im still plugyng, the social aspect of the game is something im not actually interested. I have found in redit and any d2 related comunity that theres still a lot of people that make me wonder, if they are new kids joining the d2 comunity, or actual grown olds, that havent matured. I have been part of some gaming comunities in the past. And tbh I have found that for some reason the d2 comunity tends to be toxic. Yes theres people who is very nice and kind. Mana per hit and after each kill is how I solve this problem. I can keep using a spirit and hit the 65fcr breakpoint, which helps a lot of with the slow teleport.

Hey im just getting back into this game after dying to the cows on my dads characters over and over like 15 years ago.. i just finished the game on Normal, and now im in the process of doing nightmare (just killed andariel) and theres really a shortage of guides for players who arent on Hell difficulty. Maybe you could do a video of some of the best nightmare gear to hunt for, or budget setups for gear once hell is reached? i realize its an old game and theres not gonna be THAT many new players but i feel like maybe youll inspire some more people to jump back into this dark, eerie landscape?

You don't need help for Nightmare, that's where you just have fun! Unlike in Normal, you already have the best skills, but there are no Lightning Immunes yet, contrary to Hell. Just throw LF left and right... ;-) To be helpful a bit: if you wish to have some idea how to spend skill points, etc., then MrLlama's speedruns are huge help. Then there's a cool video on budget javazon by D2D2, although it's not really based on gameplay (he assumes you've been rushed to lvl 75), but it's extremely helpful as to (shopping for) gear. Also, you can always go with your gut feeling, and improve you char on the fly: enough stats to wear your gear, rest Vita, max CS and LF with solid Pierce, throw in Valk if you feel so, ta-daaaah! :-) This is the most fun, too. You may always reset in case you screw up, so yeah... ;-) Hell is where this gets tricky. I use a LF/PLJ javazon solely to have another type of dmg for LIs. Arguably you can go FrozArr route, but I like to concentrate on jav skills for obv. reasons. You don't need some silly gear, I had Lore helm, Peace armour, Moser's/Rhyme shield, and +1Ama/Propagation javelins when killing Hell Baal. It wasn't easy, but I killed him (players1, mind you), so it's doable. Cheers!

Great video, very in depth. I disagree with the title and the whole idea. A top tier lightning sorc is the best Baal running character. Simply put, a lightning sorc can complete back to back Baal runs at a faster speed than the zon. I average complete players 8 runs between 2:20 - 2:30 total time from entering the game, to exiting. A javazon isn’t going to produce those times consistently. They may not produce that kind of time at all.

Personally do not like your enigma build. I would recommend to swap out as follows: Razortail+Chains Of Honor (for regular runs) or Jeweler of the Whale/Facet for style (specialized for cow level then) and Waterwalks ofc instead of aldur boots (more life, additional useful mods), off hand bow with vigor aura (amazon style, not crappy teleport)

With my Javazon build I used Phoenix and Chain of Honors for the resistances and it has the +2 to all skills so I am not loosing that. Plus I am using Titians because of the replenish quantity. I don't need teleport the only two things that I would need from Engima would be the + to Strength based on character level is huge plus if you are lacking in strength for using gear and the Magic find based on character level is also nice. But with me I am more of Fortitude or chain of honors type of player because I don't use teleport unless I am playing a sorceress. I am not using any merc because I am using both lightning and poison java skills. Lightning for my main and poison for lightning immunes but I could change that and use an act 2 holy freeze merc with infinity and add the 40 skill points for something like pierce and i am thinking about doing that considering how OP pierce is. I could use T-strokes for boss killing I guess and do more damage that way. I also am using T-gods for my belt for more damage. Also T-gods is excellent for the lightning absorb for stupid spirits in nightmare difficulty.

It's a hybrid (bugged) runeword. That's actually a Phoenix of Spirit. Via a bug you keep the runeword bonuses from the Spirit but not those you get from the actual runes (so no resists actually) and you keep the rune bonuses from the new runeword (in this case the + max resists with +50 life).

I really don't bother with the enigma on javazon. Focus mostly on baal runs and the lvl85 areas. The Tele is helpful but for the super fast clear time the javazon has anyway she kinda makes up for not using enigma and instead maybe Forti especially considering the hardest rune for a Forti is a Lo rune.

but the frw on enigma is so nice i actually wear enigma on my java and rarely teleport when i run baal just toss some javs and clear the mobs while im running towards the TR i only use teleports to hop over walls or if there is too much souls in the lvl also side note i run phoenix as my shield but the phoenix he showed had a perfect spirit roll on the suffixes :D

My Favorite Class runner was Sorc with Infinity, Griffon, COH or Fort, cant remember rest of gear been like 10 years, skills were Nova, Teleport, Mana Shield, with a merc with an Insight Weapon, never run out of mana Insight and griffon would make it that basicly there would be zero immune to lightning

When youre at the point where you are in(end game fully geared), you shouldnt care what wep type or body armor is on merc You should be focusing on the level that item gives ex level 17 convic. aura compared to a level 12 one.

its mostly because sigons needs quite the investment in strength which is mostly a bad idea, usually end game builds tend to max out around 60str (rest is either in vit or some in dex for some really niche max block builds). which sigons needs about 70str i believe to at least use everything in the set.

@@DauntlessAria It _was_ mostly a bad idea. We can respec quite easily now, but sigon still hasn't redeemed it's glory and that's mostly because it just slows you down wearing it and just takes up space and isn't used for long. There was a time when leveling from 1 to 30 took aaaaages! It's super useful in hardcore, but in softcore a partial death set is usually the way to go for melee characters and death's leaves more slots for fun and versatility. For casters there's just nothing in the set department worth equipping early game besides the cleglaw's boots that are useful for everyone, or full sigons for protection. Casters get more use out of silly early uniques like eye of etlich amu(in act 3 and up replaced with that +50% fire res amu with +10 max fire res), maelstrom wand and around lvl 26 you get access to double soj, spectral shard and wall of eyeless to wreck some cows on the hunt for a crystal sword. Fun stuff :D But, does anyone have that equip _before_ leveling a sorc? I kind of doubt that, unless you're silly like me and have a lvl 80 Slayer doing cs runs for fun and the very rare res/life/mf small charms.

@Zabujca Troluw Dealing with Immunities is fine, just the biggest part with the infinity is that it increases killing speed by A LOT. Without infinity Blizzard sorc can do better :)

Some questions from starting player here: how many points have you invested in dexterity & strength? and how do I get them to the levels of 160 ;) i miss a video where you show like the process of creating this amazing character, how did it look like on a lvl30, lvl50 or at some important milestones :) would you make one? cheers

Just start with enough str to basically wear early starter gear on your play through. Something maybe in the range of 40 to 50 and then put everything into vitality and just pot for mana if your a caster character. Don't worry about 156 str until your in hell and you want to equip spirit in a monarch shield. Hope that helps!

What DB said. And you should also watch speedruns, so that you can see the progress step by step. Those videos are really helpful considering the skills/stats; speaking of gear choices, I can only recommend "D2D2's video on budget javazon from scratch"; just copy this text to YT.

the 15% damage taken goes to mana on enigma and aldur boots actually doesnt give you the mana but made you lose instead life!

my favorite was always foh smite paladin for pvp.. but build to make one takes ages to gather. so 2nd choice is always blizz sorc pvp. for farming its nova 200 fcr sorc haha

Isn't it annoying/costly to keep repairing those Tstrokes though? It seems like you mostly just target elite packs so I guess you wouldn't run out that quickly. I tend to clear everything

I'd say that if you're clearing everything you just use titans to avoid the hassle of repairing and maybe even have an extra because on players 7 or 8 you're throwing quite a lot. There's not that much of a damage difference, but your clear speed will go down if you repair a lot. If you're not high lvl and you are playing on players 7 or 8 the waiting for the titans to replenish could take a lot longer though. So yeah, just pick the most convenient option.

Why teleport on a Javazon though ? It has alot of frames whereas faster run/walk does not and gets you there faster ?
