We have the same door step, they're handy to get our kayaks down. I used to live in Townsville, I miss me muddies. Those 2 last ones were excellent.

As one other has said the egg is from a magpie goose for sure...I used to poach them and then poach them when I was a young lad...very good for scrambled eggs also.

Top job Myself I would have just put the venison in apple cider vinegar for 20 minutes dried it off and steaks Still love the crabs Rock on 🤘.

I used to cull wild ponies on an island in the top end, and although it was less than heartwarming work, the upside was that fresh horsemeat made amazing crab bait.

I went to aussie once, caught a heap of crabs in Cairn's. Dunked my nads in petrol to try get rid of the buggers. Didn't work, just got scabs as well as crabs.... Wasn't half as much fun as your adventure

Next time you find an egg, chuck it in a bucket of water. If it doesn't float on the top it's good to eat. Would make a mad vid. Cookin up some random egg. It will be edible as long as it hangs at the bottom of the bucket.. cheers.

@@SkidPig in my experience.. yeagh. I filled a bucket of cockles to make a mussel pasta dish. Cleaned em in a bucket for a day. The dead ones I returned to the mangroves.. crabs came running straight away.
