Just built the Entry Grade Strike and LOVED IT!!!! It was my return to Gunpla and got me hooked again on the Gundam universe. With Transformers completely losing my love, I think I might just be here to stay. For those wondering my last kit was the MG RX-78-2 Origin all the way back in 2015.

I know you aren't about designs like the GaoGaiGar but having just build it I definitely recommend it! The build was really interesting and you work with a lot of premium plastics in the box that I found a lot nicer than the average Bandai kit. Especially the matte black is really great. It doesn't leave many marks and it has no visible folds. I was actually really looking forward to you reviewing that one haha. But even if you don't plan on doing so do pick it up for yourself one day. Highly recommended!

@@tendousouji2452 I would say just the head. The legs are a bit finicky. You kind have to use a tweezer or parts seperator to make it work. I thought it was a bad connection at first but if you do it right it stays locked in place

The fingers,if bandai gave fixed pose arm this will be better(other than hell&heaven). The foot part its not really that flexible cuz the design. im not complaining though. I hope that bandai release gaogaigar only kit. So we can have better gaogaigar

That's as a regular release and it was the only release alongside Rick Dom. Unfortunately I heard Pbandai's name, I excluded them last video due to rarity as well as MGEX that shares the 1/100 MG Size (because even though MGEX is 2022, not many people could grab it, in fact I finally see my preorder of the MGEX from the man himself and the USAGS team finally moving (the carrier they used to send me the MGEX...but now I didn't build it in 2022, see what I'm getting at?) But I'm going to mention this Pbandai kit; Shin Musha Gundam Sengoku no Jin. This premium bandai MG kit released and was in hands for only a few people in 2022, that's why I never mentioned this one, it's just insanely beautiful.

I’ve been really happy with the HG TWfM kits. I love the colors as they are more varied than I’ve seen. They also don’t sacrifice pose-ability despite their bulk. Building and posing the Dilanza was a lot of fun. Also, I like that it used every part on the runner. Feels like they should always do that. Highly recommend!

...Dang, I can't believe I forgot about Kyoukai Senki. In my defense I only built the Bunyip Boomerang and basically had to put it into storage right away, and never watched the anime. The Boomerang is pretty unique for its strange shape and height, and the kit went together really easily. Really good color separation and no ugly seam lines. I'd be willing to build more if my backlog didn't look to be lasting until next year. ;)

Despite being an RG, RG Goldymarg is one of the most solid plamo that I've build of all time, sure there are no inner frames and the color separation is as simple as some modern HG, but keep in mind that it's a robot with 2 different forms and almost doesn't partsform (you can't hide the arms anywhere else) and it combines with the RG Gaogaigar as the Goldion Hammer, and the entire kit felt like a Voyager-class figure and not a plastic model at all.

The HG Dragonar-1 is an incredibly solid kit, and the kit includes both a rounded and more pointed version of the red visor-like head part! I believe the only color inaccuracy is the yellow "1" for the shield though.

Imagine if they made HG Revive versions of War in the Pocket mechas, specifically the Gundam Alex and the GM Sniper II. I'd drop money so hard for a new Sniper II

I personally did not build a lot of 2022 release kit as getting them are very scarce here (SEA). I've just gotten Lfrith in early December and the stock is very limited, not to help some of it were also being sold at RG prices. These things are scalped to death. As for HG TWfM (Lfrith), I have to agree it's one of the best engineered kits to date. I did not like some parts of the build, particularly the c-clips as it's prone to get loose or snap over time, but at the end of the day, it's still solid in both articulation and presentation. Wishing that Bandai would fix the production and distribution of the kits so that these kind of scarcity and markup do not happen for those who genuinely enjoy the hobby. (Looking at you, scalpers.)

I had a lot of fun putting together the Dragonar-1 model kit. Neat internal frame, slick design a lot of accessories, and pretty good sized. A little expensive though.

same, dragonar 1 is probably the most fun i had with an HG, it didn't feel tedious or boring to put together, no annoying parts whatsoever and every holds together great. that and the color separation and mat finish on the white looks very nice

Since we've gotten a handful of non-Gundam RGs (most notably the EVA kits) I would KILL to get Code Geass RGs. The Lancelot Albion, the Shinkiro, & most importantly the Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. We already have the Tamashii Nations versions of these so I don't feel like it'd be a stretch to get RGs.

I haven't built a lot of 2022 kits, but I'm very happy with the few I have. HG Gespenst is very nice. And it's fun to compare it to the old Kotobukiya's Gespenst Mk-II and note their similarities and differences both in design and engineering. RG GaoGaiGar is such a fun kit. I'm definately considering getting RG Goldimarg to complete the set. Rg God Gundam. Hooo, boi. This kit blew my mind to pieces. Such a fun build. Sooooooo fun to pose. As for 2023, I'm looking forward to MG Zeta Ver. Ka. Would be very nice to see new GP01 and/or GP02 either in RG or MG line. Also, I'd love to see RG Victory Gundam. On the non-Gundam front, I'm looking forward to HG Huckebein Mk--II. As well as hoping to see some new SRW OG annoncements. Maybe I'll go for Figure-Rise Shin Kamen Rider.

The EG Nu Gundam looks pretty nifty, I hope this line continues because of its price affordability. As for the MG I'd like to see more designs from HG The Origin Gundam to get the MG treatments, they have sick looking Gundams and villains. While the RG line is awesome, I always think it's just too small. It's like collecting figma for Gundams, but thanks to inflation we probably will have to resort to RG line instead of the MG line. Hopefully they'll make F-91 as RG later, can't wait to see how the shortest Gundam turns out in RG.

Metal Armor Dragonar was meant to be a remake and spiritual successor to the 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam anime for the next generation but not using the Gundam franchise naming but lost to the popularity of ZZ Gundam roughly airing at the same time as Dragonar, basically Dragonar is like the first A.U. Gundam but not being a Gundam series, lol.

I'd love to see bandai do a few battletech mechs, they could really go ham with detail parts as well as modularity. I'd also love to see bandai's twist on several of the unique fictitious technologies: gauss rifles, PPCs, Myomer, etc. Etc.

The biggest issue is getting hold of these kits. I was in Tokyo in November, there's a huge shortage of the latest releases. The Witch series kits were nowhere to be seen, same with the RG Hi-Nu. Yodobashi has like 10% of the kits it had pre-covid, and at Gundam Base most of the exclusive releases were out of stock. It was really bad. Don't know if this is due to the bloody scalpers or to a serious production issue from Bandai

It's a serious production issue. The main problem is that covid brought a lot of things to a halt. And during that period, production was very limited. A lot of products were pushed back or delayed and back orders from last year are still being fulfilled. This is kind of why you also see P-Bandai products taking longer to enter production too. To make matters worse is that they're producing bulk of one model kit at a time instead of trying to fulfill a distributor's order requests at a time, so everyone is getting a trickle of one type of product at a time. The previous big shipment to reach the US in the middle of January was a large order of Gundam Wing MG kits of Deathscythe and Shenlong and it took 6 months according to the store owner I talked to.

I really would like an RG or MG 2.0 Shining Gundam. I'm so disappointed that the new HG G Gundam kits are going to all be P-Bandai, as I don't have the funds to get them right now and even if I did, Gundam Rose sold out way too quickly. I personally don't like limited releases and never have. I'm glad G Gundam is getting _any_ attention, but I'm sad that I can't join in.

If there's anything that would be a dream for me, it would be a bandai figure rise line of the Gurren Lagann mecha suits and characters. It'd be a perfect splash of nostalgia whilst also bringing more kits into Bandai's lineup. They could easily bank on the mechas, whilst also making awesome characters like Yoko with their 30mm sisters style customization.

Unfortunately, Bandai would likely butcher Yoko by putting her in the figure-rise standard line. They've improved a lot since their "demon Fumina" days but their human characters are still way behind Koto and most of the Chinese companies doing mecha musume.

I constantly forget Kyoukai Senki was even a thing until I see the kits kinda rotting on the shelves in a big line at my local toy stores, kinda sucks cause you did like the kits and other people said they were good but they're probably gonna be like eternal "On Sale" inventory that just sits there for the next couple years. Might be smart to grab any good ones cause I have a feeling Bandai won't be reprinting them much, or at all since the show didn't do well.

Damn. I just came across the RG Hi-Nu in my local mall here in PH. I'm living in a province, so stuff like this is pretty rare to get locally. Snapped it up right there and then. Looking forward to building it. Now I'm hoping and praying they stock up on the RG God Gundam again. I missed it back in December and regretted not buying one as soon as I saw some in stock.

Given their prominence in the ethos, its INSANE that there is not a regular release of a HG PSYCHO DOGA ( just coming out as P-Bandai) or the PSYCHO G G-DOORS, especially given the popularity and plethora of available kits which are MSs based on the captured technology from these suits (Hi-Nu, Moon G etc)!!! Wantee in HG priced at less than $20 USD.

For next year I'm hoping for a PG Aerial. I've been wanting a PG Qan[T] (best Setsuna MS design, fight me) for the longest time, but it will probably never happen. After the G-Witch S1 finale, I can't unsee Aerial as a ranged/shooting version of Qan[T] so that will be the closest I can get.

Actually I feel like that can come true, ever notice it's always the main person? Rx 78-2 no doubt plus has many iterations, Unicorn - main character, Strike Freedom, Exia all has a PG. Unfortunately I don't think Aerial will come before Barbatos and Barbatos went from HG to Full Mechanics to MG. Aerial has a HG, and getting a Full Mechanics so if anything, Aerial should have a MG.

@@ying3966 The problem with Qan[T] is that it had 5 minutes of screen time in a movie that wasn't particularly well received. While it is piloted by the main character, it will never get the love of a true main gundam like Exia and 00 Raiser. I would also love a PG Turn A, Crossbones, or Core Gundam (also main gundams), but the releases are based on popularity more than anything else. If G-Witch keeps its hype train going while transitioning to a tone closer to the prologue in S2, it might be popular enough to earn itself a PG.

Would honestly love a PG turn A this year seeing how the true regular release no pbandai (like PG perfectibility) was perfect strike in 2020 and it stopped there (for a good reason). PG Core gundam (would look like a MG) would be extremely funny but insanely overly expense and expensive if it does not include but give later PG earth, moon and his other forms. It's just Barbatos as an MG was well received as well as the IBO show overall (was it or was it not? to me it was I enjoyed IBO)

@@ying3966 Yeah, Core Gundam would be super impractical as a PG but I like the design and would like to see it in high detail. Possibly a RG Earthree or Uraven that is compatible with HG would work. I liked IBO as well, but I didn't follow it when it first aired. I'm pretty sure it was popular but the grimdark child solider theme probably didn't have the mass appeal of G-Witch's high school setting and (yuri) romance which was specifically designed to bring in a more general audience. Barbatos MG was excellent, and it deserves a PG, I just (selfishly) hope G-Witch will do well enough for a PG or MGEX.

It's kinda sad that most of the interesting kits are P-bandai....we only got 1 HG kits in HGUC line last year which is not even UC kit...everything else is P-bandai. RG EVA line is also dead by now, I hope we'll see RG EVA unit 13 but I doubt it.... Hopefully we'll get the Stealth Gao II add on this year so I can buy another RG GGG.

2022 Bandai is the embodiment of the shrug emoji, they don't deserve a "Best Of" accolade for their low effort this year. Compare it to Kotobukiya's great 2022 release catalogue which they accomplished with 1/1000th of Bandai's financial and marketplace resources

RG Gaogaigar is cool kit but it's just an annoying kit to deal with, anytime you move something You need to move the other things back to the way they supposed to be, and then fix others as they moved when You were fixing what moved in first place and at the end there is always something off about it and life is a torment.

2022 was a depressing year for gunpla releases for me. Just the new MG Doms and the EG Nu Gundam are regular releases Then some P-Bandai from Cucuruz Doan Island movie The rest of the year was full of kits i don't like God Gundam RG Is a great kit? Yes but it Is from the worst Gundam series ever. WfM HGs? I don't like the anime, i don't like the designs. MGEX Strike? Great kit but i am not interested in non UC releases RG Gaogaigar? OMG it's probably the dumbest robot design ever 2022 was one of the years with less love for UC and no love for UC is no love for Gundam I hope 2023 will be better cause it's heartbreaking to see new releases with new great tech for ugly things like the Aerial while beautiful mobile suits from the UC still has kits from late 90s/early 2000s
