Good thing about Sea to Summit is that, in addition to being good gear, it goes on sale quite often. I grabbed an X-Brew directly from StS for $7 in Jan 2023 during one of its sales. So, just keep your eyes open and you can snag some high quality gear for low prices (and not have to worry about dealing with untrustworthy online retailers).

Please stop apologizing about price. I have bought premium backpacking gear for less than it would cost me to rent a condo on the beach for a week and I have experienced so much more for weeks on end!!! BTW, I love the Petzl Bindi and the MSR coffee press. I am a coffee snob and it makes a great cup of real coffee!!!

Would I be able to use this compression sack on my tent sack or would that compromise it in some way?
@BackpackingTV
@BackpackingTV 2 жыл бұрын
If you remove the tent poles, you could do that, although I'm not sure it would be as valuable on a tent. With sleeping bags there is just so much air, and the compression sack allows you to squeeze most of it out.

Got me the Ozark trail camping pillow and backpacking shovel. Haven't used them yet but when you are going to be backpacking 365 days a year ill probably get something better down the road when I have the funds. Sucks not having a job. How do I become a successful backpacking youtober like yourself?!

I use regular baby wipes on long elk hunts in the backcountry. I dry them out so i can bring more for the same weight. Just add water. Also, I absolutely dont believe for one second that the alpine start is a better option than nescafe. You can get 100 cups of nescafe for the same price and it tastes great. LOL I feel so triggered by this.

I'm really curious why do Americans think that there is a significant difference in the viral load of the natural waters in the states compared to the rest of the world. This is the 3rd or 4th video I've seen in a few days referring to this idea (at 4:00 ) which is pretty ignorant in the best case...
@sstrongman1667
@sstrongman1667 Жыл бұрын
Typically it has more to do with developed vs non developed places. Alot of countries don't have the proper sewage treatment facilities and raw effluent just goes directly into the stream or river. So in those sitiations you could be exposed to alot more viruses than in the states or western europe.

I can’t comprehend why KZbinrs suggest anything other than the Nitecore NU25 headlamp. Lighter and longer battery life. Obviously this guy is bias towards with sponsors. “Do not recommend channel” if you want real hiking reviews. Instead watch a thru hiker gear list.

@TheHikingLion 2 жыл бұрын

Gear for a thru hiker may vary compared to a weekend or general backpacking type trip. Mostly because you can recharge easily between trips. I like Ledlenser because of the excellent lenses that can focus a beam of I want to see into the distance, especially helpful if navigating at night, searching for a route, or in an emergency. That’s great if your sole goal is weight savings, but there are other factors. There is more than one “real” way to enjoy hiking!✌🏼
