Good overview of the must-haves. Scorepercentage is another nice mod, it shows you how much better/worse than your current highscore you did right after you finish playing a song.

I use virtual desktop to play BeatSaber on PC via the Quest 2. Works great and no wires!

Really? Do you need a really powerful PC? What are your specs?

@@csc216 My PC is pretty beefy. I have an i7 8700k with an RTX 3070. You could probably find some articles online about what specs you would need. I did have to upgrade my wifi router to be able to stream the game.

I do the same thing, except I use shadow pc. It’s a cloud pc, and it’s great if you don’t have an actual pc. It works very well for things like beat saber with almost no lag or latency. It’s $30 a month though which is pretty pricey for a subscription..

Watched your video on this last night... got it all setup pretty sweet. Added custom songs, and maps like in your latest recommendation. I want to show off to my kid.. fire VR up.. no maps, no custom chroma, noddley things... then I remember, you mentioned if BS is updated, it will break. "currently you need pcvr to play mods." One year later and (or sooner idk when this came out) we now have bmbf for oculus quest. You'll still need an Android phone or PC with sidequest installed to install it but you don't need a gaming PC bc the game is running on the oculus itself.

Been using manual mods to get songs, love it. Wanted to start using noodle and chroma, so followed and got mod assistant. Doesn't seem like there's very many songs in the libraries you can see inside headset (I have all 3 libraries selected) and am having trouble looking for songs using noodle extension. Looking for stuff like oh no, up and down, other stuff you and other streamers have been posting. Do i need to do something specific to see them in headset libraries or search out on computer

Well now you dont even need a link cable as long as you have virtual desktop both on your computer, the app from side quest, and the regular virtual desktop app on your quest/quest2 you can play steam/pc games only thing is that if you dont have a router or good internet it will be lagging a lot.

I know you asked this question 7 months ago. I'm surprised nobody answered you. So I will. That way it's here for you or anyone who may need to know... If you bought beat saber through oculus on pc then you can still use mod assistant. You just make sure that in mod assistant options, the install folder points to where beat saber is actually installed. If you bought beat saber through oculus on the quest headset, then it doesn't work. It's a pc version only thing. I hope this helps, if you even still need the help. lol

Beat Saber was updated and all the mods (as far as I can tell) are currently "broken" for now. Shouldn't take too long for the Modding community to fix this.
