American BB has free shipping most of the time on their bars and that one is on sale at $350 alot as well. It is a great bar. The sleeves rotate, it has knurled handles, and it has the center cutout which makes overhead pressing easier. I have the one with straight handles as well
@HeathWatts4 жыл бұрын
Great review. Thanks for doing it. Chris Duffin made another video about this bar where he talked about the balanced feel of the bar while pressing. It's designed to not tip forward or backward like most Swiss/football bars do when pressing. Have you found that to be the case?
@OfficialMarkZuckerberg4 жыл бұрын
There is alot of reasons that make this bar worth buying that werent covered, no fault to GGR but I would recommend watching the Kabuki video explaining the engineering behind it. They talk about why the handles are angled and explain how the handles are above center of the weight for stability (which is why it flips). TLDR, it might be higher in price but theres a good reason and its worth it .
@sverrewilson8705 жыл бұрын
Looks to me like you don't really get much more ROM because of the 2cm or 3/4" lip on both sides (the frame) which makes the ROM shorter had it been straight, and it doesn't bend that much unless you use the outer handles.

3:05 - The Kadillac bar (and swiss bars, in general) is actually helpful for those with shoulder issues! Just ask Joe DeFranco. If you are worried about the increased range of motion, there are a few things you can do. # 1) Use resistance bands (from above) and employ the 'future method' - kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZasknSZba6Jadk # 2) You can try to 'flip' the Kadillac bar over so that the 'arc' touches your chest sooner, shortening the range of motion. # 3) strap a pad (or a benchblokz) to the Kadillac bar to simulate a board press and reduce the range of motion, as desired.

@TheJdangle3 жыл бұрын
Yeah and remove the laser cut kabuki name to save some money. Machining the holes to bolt the sleeves on is probably more expensive than welding it. Titan has a similar bar for 170. I’ll go with that. This bar is worth 300 dollars tops.
@EJH-jn6mo3 жыл бұрын
What I believe Coop is mistaken about is that the bar may be more risky for those with shoulder issues. As someone who has a few shoulder surgeries and uses a regular straight bar the Kadillac leaves my shoulders without any joint pain.

I think he was addressing the extra stretch/ROM at the bottom of the benching motion that puts your shoulders in an even more vulnerable position. With their 5% discount, it's about $600 to get to me. Based on comments, it seems like no one on the continental US would pay that much for a specialty bar. But here, while I was looking for one, Titan doesn't ship here and neither does AB. We have a local AB retailer that has none in stock due to Covid19, but if they did, the T-Grip Bar is $500 plus tax or around $525. I have wrist and shoulder injuries so was hoping for this type of bar to allow me to bench better. Anyone have any thoughts? I mean, a cerakote AB training bar costs $430 here.
