I had the opportunity years ago in Vegas to train with Galvao when Terere brought him to town to train when he was a brown belt. You could see it then, this kid was going to be special. To illustrate how good his balance is.. he was on side control with me and did a handstand and being a solid 200lbs and with a solid hip escape, i could not budge him until he chose to move. Bernardo is doing the right thing finally and cycling world class talent and also people you might not know of through his school to show parts of the game you may need information on or may not have access to have someone show you.

Andre's ability to distill his skill and understanding of Jiujitsu into such simple concepts and teach these so clearly is unbelievable. A true master of his art and a brilliant teacher to boot!

this great Galvao's stack pass concept, in combination with Buchecha's pressure folding pass mentality, all wrapped inside Danaher's guard pass phylosophy, everything humbly commissioned by Rickson's guard pass insanity: HUGE! i mean HUUUUUUGE!

@@Galvaocast btw... i just finished watching all 6 hours. My mind is blown. A bit hard to watch considering how deep it gets. But thank you for putting some true passion and effort in this one. It was like watching a seminar which i had to take notes, and will have to rewatch as the years go by. And you are right, the BJJ 10-15 years ago is different now, and it will be different 10-15 years later. So thank you for me to "update my software!". until the next one!

Thank you for the video. I have a question, hope someone can help. So, is it better to be on the knees rather then the toes? I have heard some where never to be in the knees. So when we stack, be in the knees then when pressuring thru go on the toes?

I always ask myself: how can I pass the open guard’s of my opponent.. I’m not very tall. Here is the answer: do what Andre Galvao is doing. Thank you Bernardo and Andre Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹 🙏

I am consider as a shorter guy in my weight class ( 183 cm and 105 kg) and pressure, knee cuts and toreando work extremely well for me. Height can be advantage in playing guard

So, unquestionably Andre is one of the GOATs. And he thinks stacking is the best way to pass, which means he’s REALLY good at it. Think about how incredible it is, then, that Rafa Mendes was able to stop Andre’s attempts to pass using the stack and then submit Andre the moment he got a chance to go on the offensive. Greatest of all time? Rafa Mendes.
