The Best Blink Camera? Blink Outdoor 4 Review

I have had very mixed results from blink 4 camera's. I have one over my driveway mounted right above my garage door. Quite often, it completely ignores activity in the driveway. My wife comes out, gets in car and backs out. Nothing recorded! She pulls into driveway, gets out of car, walks into garage. Nothing recorded! This morning, I left on a bike ride from driveway. Nothing recorded!. I have motion activation turned up to 9. Cars drive by on street, it captures those. I am not impressed so far!

Big waste of money. I had similar issues, and issues where it detected something but the video didn’t record to the SD card. I stopped using them.

Not sure why blink gets so much hate. My 10 blink cameras cost the same as 2of my arlos . Sure the arlos, eufy, etc have better quality but 4 of them for $100 is tough to beat.

Can I use the blink module two without the Internet? And still access the camera from my phone using the module two? What I'd really like to do is be able to take a camera when I go camping and film any wildlife that hangs around my RV at night and look at the footage later. Can I do that with this system?

My new Gen4 Blink camera can't hold a candle to the original XT model. Sad.

You left out the most important key. It’s can’t record at the same time when you are doing live view. Meaning, while you watch an incident happening live.. you can’t record it. Get it? The catch… you have to force to pay for their subscription

Been using for over 6 months. Bought when we were in holiday. This camera is a worst piece of tech out there. Feels good and packaging is great but the issue lies within their connection and realiability. List of issues goes long. From not recording clip to late notification to forever loading to see the camera or to watch recorded clip. Even tho I used best of my networking technique, it still performs worst compared to $4 led bulb. These device takes couple of hours every months to make it work and sometimes that consistency doesnt even lasts a week. DONT BUY IT.

For the price, these Outdoor 4 cameras are junk. Biggest joke is, No timestamp! The only plus side is the max 60 day storage for the $10 per month unlimited subscription, which others like Wyze $10/month, unlimited 14 days, suck at. And you can use a powered solar panel.

Gen 4 are junk, i went back to the XT2 models i had, Gen 4 sound is glitchy at best and YES i have tweaked all the settings. As for Blink,s technical service, well i,m still laughing at how bad they are.

JUNK JUNK JUNK!!!!!!!!!! JUST tossed mine in the garbage! The BIGGEST PITA after swapping out a router! Wouldn't re connect.... ALWAYS is an issue IF the power glitches, internet drops, ANYTHING!
