(0:15) Yes, I am from "far away"! Thanks for producing this video! (1:55) I'm curious as to what book that is. (2:22) At this point, I realise the video was recorded in 2019, not 2021! Otherwise, I would've recognised a lot of books that are on my TBR list and/or were talked about by a number of people I follow on Twitter. (2:48) I take that back, I recognise "The Lost Tide Warriors" by Catherine Doyle and "The Land of Roar" by Jenny McLachlan and Ben Mantle. Both are on my Goodreads/StoryGraph "Want to Read (Low Priority)" lists, but I've at least recognised something! (6:06) More TBR/research sightings! "Oi (animal)!" series by Kes Gray and Jim Field! (I found out about the series through following the latter on Twitter. Yes, I follow a lot of book illustrators because I like their art styles)

Besides any amount of books, I visited all the places. It was very hard to not buy anything because there wasn't any space left in my luggage. But yeah, they were all worth the visit!

TL will select some recently written titles in due course for review. These could be bestsellers or otherwise. I will also take the same approach to music. I will look at specism, racism and sexism. As well as noting references to TL.

Thanks for including Waterstones (though my personal favourite is Gower Street branch). I've watched other videos on London bookshops and evidently they consider Waterstones too "mainstream" to be worthy of a place in their videos.😅
@kbhasi3 жыл бұрын
I think that's because Waterstones is probably the largest bookshop chain in the UK, and those people, including me to an extent, likely find indie bookshops to feel more magical.

London bookshops are far too numerous to cover in one brief video, or in ten. It might be better to select those having distinguishing features and explain and illustrate those. Waterstone's for instance is a chain stocking the latest hits considered likely to sell well. That is, it's not worth your time. Foyle's on Charing Cross Road, is the largest store in London, with specialty sections of all sorts, including play scripts and musical scores, plus textbooks for various academic specialties. And for travel fans, there's Stanford's, near Covent Garden on Mercer Street. In business since 1853, it's the world's leading map shop and also has the largest selection of travel books in town. Begin your video projects by researching the subjecta via Internet and save some shoe leather.

I don't want to spoil this lovely video with a remark that many,of course,will dislike;both ISIS & TALIBAN are afraid of such a landscape that could give to people the knowledge of many things beyond the borders of their countries.Bombs,cruiser missiles are not their enemies but places like the ones shown in this video.
