Thanks Luke, for taking us around those lovely book stores, wow, just amazing places to be. I too love a physical book to hold and turn actual pages. All your food looked fab too. Weather here in Somerset has cooled down and we have had some rain today too, but we did get the humidity over the hot spell the Uk was gettting. Unusual for where we live to get humid conditions. As a born and bred Londoner though, I can remember how clammy it could get. Have a lovely week end with your mum and the Pink concert, my Hubby will be envious he really loves her music. Hi Luke! Struggled with the heat lately, so pleased it's cooled down a bit (for now). Having a new roof fitted, so not going on hols this year. Intrigued to see the de VOL book... Had watched their prog on HGTV & really enjoyed it. Only realised recently that it's "LOVed' backwards. Enjoyed seeing you & Euan at Ascot, although don't agree with the races...😢 Thought you might wear deck shoes with your suit at Wimbledon. You are a 'lucky sausage' 😊. x

Your bookstores in London are gorgeous! Love the shoes you bought for Wimbledon and being a seamstress I agree with you about having it tailored so it will fit you properly. We love Morgan Freeman Obie’s too. My hubby’s favorite movie is one of his older movies, Man On Fire, with Dakota Fanning in it and I really liked the movie, All The Pretty Girls, with Ashley Judd as his co star. I’m not usually one to like scary movies and yes, this one scared the crap out of me but, it was so good I couldn’t stop watching it! L O L. I hope you have a wonderful week. Loved this vlog, I really want to visit the bookshops in London. There’s something about a good thriller book, a coffee and looking around the big bookstores and charity shops. Me personally I prefer a physical book the smell and the feel of the pages and more people should immerse themselves in a good story! 📕

While it is reasonable temperatures here in South Ontario, Canada, the air is filled with smoke from forest fires. According to a story in the media today, Toronto is experiencing the worst air quality in the world at the moment. It isn't pleasant to be outside at all, causing breathing difficulties and eye irritations. I enjoyed your book crawl and your dinner looked amazing. Enjoy your weekend.

Awww this vlog has given me real homesickness (but in a good way!) as I currently live in Dubai, but am coming home to England for a fortnight in 11 days! 🎉 we’re doing 2 days in London and visiting all my favourite museums and restaurants - and book shops! We’re topping and tailing our visit via 2 days in Tbilisi and Sofia, then spending a week in Sri Lanka. Basically any way to get away from the 40° heat of Dubai lol. Hi Luke. I am catching up on some vids and can’t believe I didn’t see this one until now. It’s been triple digits here in Northern California this past week, and I was out of town for 4 days helping my friend pack up to move to Oregon to live with her daughter after the loss of her husband David. He was my first and oldest friend that I met here in Northern California over 50 yrs ago. I met Mary through my friend over 45 yrs ago. Feeling a bit sad as she is moving so far away that I don’t know when I’ll see her again. But I’m blessed to have them as friends all these yrs. It’s a wonderful video. I have a dumb question. I note from your videos that you keep your eggs in the refrigerator, even though they look like typical UK/Euro eggs. When in Europe, I only see eggs on the shelf; refrigerating them being an American thing because we wash the protective coating off. Is there a reason you refrigerate them? Tell all.
