The best boss fight in Black Myth Wukong

Just to give a little explanation of the cinematic you saw at the end, 1.The beginning starts with Erlang narrating. hes splitting wukongs relics after he died, 1a. The bull king plus the 4 other bosses who had the relics, (Bull king being wukongs sworn brother), the other 4 relic bearers were yaoguai kings lead by erlang in the battle 2. Then flashbacks to wukong in his prime along with his sworn brother(The bull King)and also this was (Before he went on to the jotw), that encounter you saw was wukongs first fight with the armies of heaven and battling with Erlang for the first time. (In the original story, the bull king wasn't present in the fight, hence why they show he fades away once wukong and erlang clash, bull king didn't last long in the battle). 3.After wukong battled the armies and Erlang, he lost and then was sealed under the mountain prior to being freed going on his journey to the west, The bull king retreated back to the lava mts, started a family and all that. 4. Fast forward to wukong on his journey to the west, he had to cross the lava rivers and through the mountains, at this point, the bull king settled down and had a family, so you see wukong walk up to a defeated bull king after they fought. 5.Wukong tells the bull king hes taking his wifes fan as he needs it put the fires out to cross through the mountains. As hes speaking(Wukong), the bull king is dumbfounded why wukong is following in the buddas footsteps, so once the bull king sees wukong working for the budda, and Baije killing his daughter, he went full rage mood into big bull form. 6.After the bull king transforms, wukong summons the four kings and the emperor and his son to put the bull king down, as you saw they trapped him and cut his head off.(The bull king has layers of immortality if im not mistaken, so though we saw his head cut off, he eventually would come back). 7. In the very end, once you saw the bull king get beheaded, it transitions back to wukongs final moments of his death(Point 1 and 1a), the bull king ultimately regrets betraying wukong, he only then fully understood why wukong did what he did and went on the journey. Extra information: Wukong at the end told the bull king not to take his relic if it came into his possession on purpose. Prior to wukongs death, he was aware at some point in time the destined one would be born and go on the journey to retrieve his relics, meaning the relic bearers would face the destined one and eventually die. So wukong told the bull king that to ensure he wouldn't face the destined one for his relic.

Actually, the concubine who was killed by Baije is Binh Binh's mother (Red Boy disguised Bing Bing and met Destined One many years later in the game). And this concubine is a spy of the celestial court. Also, the words Wukong said to Bull King about humiliating his family you can understand like this: Bull King's brother is disciplined, which means his sins will not affect Bull King. Red Boy was given away to Bodhisattva, which means Bull King's son is under protection. Wukong needs only the fan; once the fan is given, everything will be settled. But Baije showed up with the news, and Bull King lost his mind and went berserk. Wukong always cares about his brother and his brethren but can't do anything because his goal at the time is to save "their likes" from the grip of the celestial court. Wukong said Bull King chose wrong, but I think Bull King chose right, he always cares about everyone, and "ill luck" finds him every time. In the early times, he fought for his brother now he fought for his family. Wukong's 5th Relic is the symbol for that. Two pigs with their lower bodies connected. Each of them want to go the opposite ways but end up in stalemate. Bull King is something like that, he just spinning aroud other people (making their choices become his choices) because he cares about them. Like in real life, you lose if you care too much, and in the end, he is the one who take the hardest fall. But I think the story, the real life, need some one like Bull King, to build something bigger and better than one self.

In case you don't know, make sure to visit the Great Pagoda area in Chapter 3 for a secret ending :) also you won't be able to access the original ending after the Great Pagoda so time wisely.

Also just realized that the lights coming down on the Bull King at 1:16:20, is actually Li Jing, the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King, dropping the magic pagoda on the Bull King to incapacitate him. Man, these animation are well done.

@@mave2k Note that he's very careful to only drop the pagoda after his son Nezha have already engaged in combat, and he made sure to trap both the bull king and Nezha inside. Nezha has a big grudge against his dad and the pagoda is an artifact given by the buddha to Lijing to protect him from his son.

Depends on how you play. Bad ending speedrun takes not too long (chapter 5 is REALLY short but kinda long with the extra content) longest is chapter 3 by far, and even longer if u wanna do a lot of the bosses.

Hey there, I’m the nerd emoji of black myth: Wukong. Allow me to explain the ending animation :) in the beginning, you clearly hear Erlang shen giving out Wukong relics to the yaoguai kings. The scene then moves to what actually happened after Wukong was thrusted into the mountain by Erlang in the beginning of the game. He was jumped by the yaoguai kings (plus the bull king) and lets himself die. After that we are shown when Wukong raided heaven and was defeated. Then you are shown the bull king’s obsessions (problems). Not only was his wife forced to birth red boy but red boy basically got memories of his past life back and wanted revenge against heaven. Then on Wukong journey to the west he came to the bull king and tells him everything he did do the bull kings family. Bajie comes outta no where 💀 and tells Wukong he killed the bull kings second wife (a fox guai). The bull king getting enraged at this goes into his full form. The celestial court steps in and send out nezha( guy with the fire) and his dad as well as four buddhas to hold the bull king down. They arnt lightwork btw. Anyway the bright light at the end of the cutscene is Wukong splitting into the relics. Nerd emoji out 🤓

this chapter is about bull king always makes the wrong choice, but the truth is: he never had options. 1. he fought the armies of heaven alongside wukong and got punished becoz they were sworn brothers 2. he raised red boy just because the master of his wife forced her to drink the water and got pregnant 3. he got beaten by wukong just because wukong as to pass the fire mount in order to serve his master 4. he turned to rage mode against wukong to protect his family 5. he betrayed wukong at the end of the anime short just to protect his family he never really had a choice

@@shehryartariq007 Rakshasi’s (Bull king’s wife) master is the god/ master of the Daoist (Chinese religion). And there are some rivalries between Daoist and Buddhism. When the Daoist knew that the Buddhas sent armies to wiped out the Yaksha empire, the master of Rakshasi offered help to the Yaksha King to keep Yaksha’s bloodline by using Rakshasi’s body to rebirth the Yaksha Prince. The Daoist did this to keep the Yaksha Prince as an evidence for accusing the Buddhas murdering the whole Yaksha kingdom. Also, Rakshasi was used as the mother of the new Yaksha Prince because she’s the student of the Daoist master and also she’s the Princess of Raksha (Neighbour of the Yaksha Kingdom. That’s also the reason why the red boy wants the relic from his dad in order to avenge his Yaksha’s ppl after he learnt his secret. That’s also the reason why we saw him got mad at his dad for working for the Buddhas

@@shehryartariq007 in the anime short after the chapter, you can see Wukong and Bull King fought along against the Buddhas army. And they both got punished after losing the fight. Wukong later got a chance to free himself from prison by serving his master to get the bible (the story of journey to the west). In order to get the bible, Wukong and his allies had to pass through the fire mountain by using the fan from Bull King’s wife. So they had to fight with Bull King’s family. And at the end they killed Bull King’s concubine (the mother of the fox guai in the game). Bull King also got injured seriously. Wukong got the fan after the fight and continued the journey.

Wukong pulled the exact same trick on Bajie during the journey, pretending to be Bajie's fiancee and getting Bajie to give him a piggy back ride while toying with him. Bajie must have vividly remembered it due to the embarrassment and decided to try the same trick himself.

FYI For that Bull King Armor you got from the secret area, you can't make all of the gear for it until you do that area again in NG+ because you get a limited number of bull horns per run. That armor set, plus the other thing (spoiler-free) that you can get combined together end up being one of the strongest sets in the game.

there are two different versions of Wukong, good one (with the headband) and the bad one( without the headband and reckless) the one who killed the fox's mother and aided the celestials to kill the bull king was the good one who was on a journey for 3 quests given by buddha. He had a team of 4 people, among which one was Jhu Bajie. The last wukong who died in the bull king's lap was the wukong without the headband who took on the celestials. The bull king is also immortal, his head grew back once severed.

In the anime, Wukong was actually persuading the Bull King to serve the system like what he did, at least that can save his fam. While the whole journey was under the system's watching, that's why Wukong said all those things in a vague way and really wished his sworn brother could understand him, here is what he truly meant: "Your brother, I've disciplined"=“I didn't kill your brother, but I had to do something cause he's blocking our way” "Your son, I've given away"="I know Red Boy's true identity, potentially a huge risk, giving him to the Bodhisattva is the best I can do to protect your fam" "Your wife's fan, I will take it today"="Your wife's fan is all I want, plz do everybody a favor, you and fam will be fine" However, the Bullking didn't get Wukong's true meaning especially after Bajie's impulsive talk, he turned in fully rage and become his original form, a huge Bull, fighting against the system and then being taken in. Even after this story itself, after the Journey, tragedies still fell upon the Bull in the game, SAD... ...guess that's exactly why we need Wukong, a hero can still stay rebellious after all these sufferings... ...

Dude, I love your videos. I would like to add some information about the film of this chapter. There are two time points in the film: one is when Wukong and Bull King were sworn brothers as a free Yaoguai king, and this is before Wukong went to the West with Bajie and their master. They even fought in court together once. But Wukong was sealed by Buddha for 500 years, and the bull was suppressed in the Flaming Mountain. After 500 years, Wukong has master. He fights the Bull King for his master in Journey to the West. Wukong also asked the Court to help him to fight the bull. That is why we see Nezha cut off the bull's head. Nezha is as powerful as Erlang God from the court. (Maybe Erlang is slightly stronger than Nezha) The fact: Bull King has 72 lives so he can be beheaded and come back to life 72 times. (Nezha killed him dozens of times without any difficulty. So the Bull surrendered.) In addition to Bull's wife, Princess Fan, Bull once had another Fox Guai (Fox monster) lover in Journey to the West. He loved her. She was beaten to death by Bajie. PingPing is the daughter of that fox guai and the bull. Another time point that exists in the film is when Wukong is surrounded by all the Yaoguai Kings and the court soldiers. Bull is forced to join the war of annihilation and watches Wukong die in his arms and gets one of his relics.

Fight and beat the final boss. After the cutscene, you're given the option to start a new journey or continue. CHOOSE CONTINUE, then go to chapter 3s great pagoda for the secret boss then go to final boss again for the good ending
