I think people forget how oppressive Perospero was in year 3. Before everyone and their mothers had status effect nullification, he was the bully of anybody without invincibility. And oh boy, you'd better not get candied because if you were, it was always a guaranteed death sentence.

He was a monster. But the main reason I didn't put him up there was the fact that he didn't last a long as others. Pero was insane, but as long as you had reduction or immunity to status effect he was basically useless. That's why I didn't rate him up there. But I do understand how obnoxious he was!

I don't know if I'm just slow, but for your 1st and 2nd year picks, I understood it as pre-main anni. However, from 3rd year picks you went with post-main anni. Because of this I'm pretty sure you left out BFs from the year of Roger to Akainu (we got some great BFs this time, G.Ssop, Raid Kid and Doffy).

Green Rayleigh was pretty insane for his time, after 1st Anni and before 2nd Anni. I remember JP players maining him for a long time. Also the old Red Sabo meta, all the "hiken" spam, ugh lol.

Damn made me recall all the characters I hated I hated lawffy back then because he basically countered everyone(even the metas like green ray, bb and shanks)and hes basically the prototype rat Roger Also yes hes the first unit to have anti-heal and also the closest we'll ever get to a gear 2 (I swear to god Bandai why havent u release EX Gear 2 Luffy like cmon we need some Pre-TS EX like BB and Shanks V1) I also hated the rat runner god usopp because hes an annoying rat that basically spams his basic attack then u get enar he uses his skill 1 then proceeds rat all over again. Also hated Roger V1 because he basically one tapped you when they released this guy and kamusari was practically undodgeable because of how fast it was(granted it just released at that time) and most of them played like Rats like use skill 1 then just run away till the skill loses cd. Theres also Perospero where once you get hit with his skill u cant play the game anymore because this dude just has an infinite amount of candy status effects The only meta characters that Ill only like is Rayleigh V1 and Prime Ray because they actually takes skill in order to be good and getting those percect dodges be satisfying.

LOL It's weird to go back and remember how obnoxious many of these characters where. Doffy and Lawffy might have been the ones I hated most lol Wow you brought up a few units that had some insane metas. A lot of people here have mentioned pero. I think he's but there, but since he's so easily counterable with a specific trait I didnt include him. Rayleigh is spicy, because those dodges. Nothing feels more satisfying than perfect dodging with rayleigh.
