I bought a bottle today and it is one intense whiskey. I would say, while a different flavor, it is up there with a Weller Full Proof the way the smell jumps out the glass and lingers in my mouth long after the sip. But that 133 shows through. Drunk straight or with some water and it's delicious both ways.

Whiskey King I-III are amazing. Got a JD12 and it’s great. Michters toasted barrel rye was good - not worth overpaying for. Podcask JD BP Rye is phenomenal. GTS 2022 and Stagg 22a round out my favorite bottles I’ve been able to find this year.

I know how to tell if a Booker's batch is getting good buzz or not. If it is, it doesn't make it past open here. Otherwise it sits and isn't hard to find at all.

I’ve been really fortunate this year, the best for me this year are the Russell’s 13 year Batch 5 (May 2023 LL/LE), Little Book Chapter 7, the 2023 EHT Barrel Proof, and a Weller 12. I tried hard to get that JD 12 year.

I have a couple of these bottles… the easy to obtain ones lol. JD SBBP Rye suddenly appeared on shelf last week and I hope they stay semi available. I didn’t want to be greedy and buy multiple but I was dang tempted as a primarily rye whiskey drinker. This time of year the bottle budget gets beat up due to so many bottle drops and raffles (maybe the real reason I only bought 1). Gotta keep some money ready for finding BT drops, LEs, and hopefully a makers cellar aged

I bought 2 of the Charlie's Batch. J.D. 10 and 12 were a let down on proof for me. Russell's 13 is right there with Stagg for me. Haven't ever seen Boulder in Texas. Damn you/Love you can't wait for my Virtue picks(Sagamore). Cellar age.....working on it. Got the Woodford release this year, it's average release. Larceny was better than average this time. Remus better than the 6 by far. Working on the C923. J.D. S.B. B.P. Rye is awesome. So far, I have all but 2 and it's been a good year.

Have you tried the new Boulder Cask Strength Batch 2 (67.6%)? I’m not a fan of it. I have a 67.3% barrel pick of Boulder that I absolutely love and went back for backup bottles. Curious how different that batch 1 you had in the video is from batch 2.
