I'm 64 and I ❤ menopause years since 57. It's been the most energetic and productive time of my life. Diet. Workouts and lots of rest

Totally vouch for hard labor to calm me…I remulched , weeded and dug around 10 mature shrubs…7 hrs bent down and heavy lifting and pulling …. But wow was I calm and relaxed by evening…😊

I had a surgery to remove my ovary about 9 years ago. After about two years I started to have serious brain fog. I did not take any medication or supplements or see any doctors. Then in 2021 I started to exercise and watched my diet, lowering carbs and doing IF. My brain started to function better. I wished I knew more

@30min Liisa mentions theobromine. I believe that cocoa has a very large amount of theobromine and coffee is relatively low although coffee has a lot of chlorogenic acid. Decaf green and black tea are other options.

At the age of 25 people finish their studies. How are you supposed to study without coffee? Seems totally impossible to me 😂

lifestyle isn't enough...every organ system has estrogen receptors- women need hormones!!!
@lindajones4849

You are right. Lifestyle helps but if it's not enough you can go to an acupuncturist if you need help and your doctor blows you off. She says that if your doc blows you off to find a doc who knows what to do. With only one in 5 obgyns trained in menopause that can be impossible.My acupuncturist explained that in Chinese medicine women's health is not neglected like in Western medicine. The elderly are revered in China, especially elderly women.

Yes they do need their hormones. Lifestyle helps but does not replace hormones. Western docs are poorly trained to treat menopause. I went to an experienced acupuncturist and the herbal formulas she prescribed helped a lot. Elderly women are revered in China and they evolved treatments to ease the menopause transition.
