i agree on certain things you mentioned and disagree with a handful of matters. i probably misunderstood your message, but allow me to start with burn in. At the start of me owning Aoshida (x Letshuoer) E20, it just sounded bad. i let it play music for ONE WEEK straight, it came back sounded like a total different IEM (i mean properly tuned - somewhat), i was surprised for sure. Much better tonality, better controlled all around although not perfect(has its nuance). Next you also said getting other DAC will not make your IEM sound any better. There is something we call as "implementation". i have quite a few CX31993 and CS43131. For CX31993, they are generally the same, however, 'implementation' still has its role. For example how the manufacturer chooses whether to include AMP in it will for sure affect the sound production. On CS43131, it is even more obvious. i have Tempotec Sonata BHD, Moondrop Dawn Pro and WGZBLON v1. WGZBLON v1 will add more Treble energy. Whereas Tempotec Sonata BHD is the opposite of WGZBLON v1. Let say BALANCING the sound is the goal, i will not pair something such as 7Hz Sonus to WGZBLON v1 but Tempotec Sonata BHD instead. This also means something like QKZ x HBB, i will not going to pair it with Tempotec Sonata BHD but WGZBLON v1 instead. For Moondrop Dawn Pro, it is pretty much versatile across almost everything leaning towards technical/resolution rather than musical/analogue. And i test them all across all VOLUME LEVELS(from low till high it almost burst my ears). Aside from that, comes power output.. Tempotec claimed Sonata BHD has 280mW(BAL), however it can barely power KZ PR2. However Moondrop Dawn Pro with just a mere 140mW(BAL) can power the PR2 properly even via 3.5mm(SE). Again, the keyword here is "implementation". Then you said going above Moondrop Dawn Pro is pointless which i can pretty much agree. i have Onix Alpha XL1(CS43198) which double the price, i don't really see sound improvements.

@@suryendudas9960 I would not suggest that, get an Apple Dongle and a 3.5mm IEM instead even if you have to save up for a while, since sometimes the converters get finicky and iPhones also refuse to give them power output, can be a hassle

If it all were so simple... The excess sampling frequency is used for filtering and the result is lower noise. Not sure if you've ever heard of Dunning-Kruger effect, but you are at the 'peak' of it. For the budget gear that you're reviewing, the most important bit isthe analog performance but 40khz sampling rate, that you're suggesting, doesn't have the bandwidth to implement PRACTICAL (yes, emphasis on the actual result, not the theorietical, ideal version of it) filters. As such it does not result in noise free reproduction. It's especially not great if you consider that people are using digital volume control, which rises noise floor even higher. I have a 48kHz audio codec in my PC's monitor and the thing has phantom frequencies when you play sounds beyond 15kHz. 96khz and up DACs no longer have problems like this. So the sampling frequency does matter. You just need to know when.

EQ APO It's not parametric, just create EQ from squig link and export using wavelet. Then, import it to EQ APO. It needs some learning curve to correctly put it.
