Thank you for the info! I've been wondering about Bubble for my grandson - he's 13, so he needs something that's EASY to use (i.e. no thinking involved at all, or his attention will wander away and he'll end up forgetting to do anything at all). He's got the teenage oily skin right now, but looking at him I can see that he's going to end up leaning towards dry like me, his mother, his father, etc., so something that will work for the oil he has now without stripping every ounce of oil out of his skin and causing the overproduction cycle is so necessary!

I’m kinda of frustrated. I want a brand that gives me an AMAZING base lotion, that I can squeeze into my hand, and then add the ingredients I need for that day… like if I’m having a dim day, I have my vitamin c powder to add to the base lotion, if I have serious black heads, there is a tincture to add retinol to my base Lotion, then there is a niacinamide dropped, and perhaps this day I don’t add pha’s or aha’s - and once I’ve compounded what I need for the day, I rub it together and apply to my face. This kind of system would really give the consumer the control… even directions that really guide like one drop = light concentration, 2 drops = full concentration, 3 drops and could cause burning…. This is missing and I’d love to be able to have a system where I know the ingredients are good, they are at my back and call - it would be so cool!

I read that glycerin is very sticky and can cause breakouts because dirt and dust particles sticks to it and collects on your face throughout the day, does anyone know if there is any truth to that? And are there different types of glycerin?
@TiffanyLavalle3 жыл бұрын
Glycerin is sticky in very high concentrations but in skincare it is used as a humectant, mainly in moisturizers to draw in water. If you're worried about it just check to see if its below the top 3-5 ingredients since those tend to make up 90% of the product. But I should mention that acne doesn't come from dirt on the face- it can contribute but as long as you're washing your face in the AM and PM, the dirt shouldn't really be an issue in the formation of acne. Overall, like any ingredient, its the percentage that matters so try and find what percentage suits your needs. Dry skin might need higher percentages than oily skin. P.s. yes there is different types of glycerin- it can be derived from two places oil/fats like coconuts or palm. Or it can be derived from petroleum.
