Checking the German price of 350€ for the cheapest kit stunned me a little. Sure, this is a 7", but that's a bit much when you can get phenomenal 800nit 5.5" monitors such as the Desview R5II for anything between 110-150€. Great review and thanks for bringing this to my attention.

I have the Shinobi, and it's small ( especially when I need the monitor to include my camera settings - forcing the screen to be in 4x3 and making the image almost as small as the flip out screen itself), the touch sensitivity is terrible, and shifts the colors quite a bit. How much better is all that on this one? I'd like to upgrade this year for my FX3.

tough comparison. very close. I like the DC-X3 because I usually use SDI. build quality is quite close, Viltrox feels a little heavier but more solid. F700 is a little brighter so outdoors could be a difference. very similar monitors

I have an older digital camera with a hottfoot mount, but no image preview mode. It desplays an image AFTER you take a picture. Juat not before. Do you think this will work with it? I like the CMOS censor of this older camera, but miss the live preview.

I like Jason’s content, but what drives me crazy is the inability to point out important facts at least in the first half of the video…everyone who’s in the market for an external monitor is interested if the monitor has touch to focus feature…and every single video has a ton of specs info which most won’t use or don’t care about and nothing about TTF option is mentioned…

There is only one monitor that I know of that has touch focus and that is portkeys. You're going to have to pay 2-3 times this price to get a feature like that
