Thank you for this! I already stream with just mic from my PS4 and I've been having so much fun. I've always loved Vtubers, just never thought I could do it bc I wasn't really sure how it worked. I finally downloaded Vroids just for the heck of it and many many hours later I completed my avatar and can't wait to be able to use her. Only problem is, I don't have the space for a full PC setup so laptop is really my only option but I wasn't sure it could be done. Glad to know I can keep working towards my goal!

I think an r5 5500, which costs about $100 right now, is a decent choice for a budget build. Slap that onto a budget am4 motherboard($50-80ish), 2x8GB sticks of DDR4 ram 3200mhz ($40-50), a bronze rated psu ($50ish), whatever storage you need/have lying around (an SSD is nice to have), stuff it all in a $50ish case and you'll end up with a build that performs a lot better than you'd expect once you pair it with an Nvidia gpu so nvenc can lighten the load on the cpu. You could probably make it even cheaper if you look around hard enough for some nice deals. Especially when it comes to the gpu. P.S. If the 5500 costs more than $100 then go for a 5600 instead. In fact, try to go for 5600 if you can afford it, because it performs quite a bit better and is worth it. The 5500 is kinda gimped in comparison and will limit you a lot down the line. P.S.2 Make sure the motherboard supports the cpu without a bios update, and if it doesn't then make sure the motherboard supports bios flashback. Very important.

If you're on a STRICT budget, you can go to thrift stores and pick up desktops. If you can manage to get a desktop that has a Core 2 Duo, it most likely will let you upgrade to a Core 2 Quad CPU. (Make sure to apply thermal paste after replacing!) Most of those motherboards can run up to 8GBs of RAM. Here are my specs. Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4GHz 4GBs of DDR2 RAM GT 1030 GDDR5 2GBs Now you aren't gonna do very good in gaming. I tried streaming and while it WORKED, my model and the game (Dark Souls 2) lagged a bit. But if you have a decent internet connection and an Xbox One or PS4, see Senpai's tutorial on how to stream from it. I did it on New Years with Mass Effect Andromeda and it was stable! So if you're on a strict budget, this is a worthwhile build. Best of luck everyone! PS: It's a half decent gaming rig too. Siege runs at 30FPS with slight stutters on 720p low. Most games up to 2015 will run at low/modded low settings. Overall the rig costed me about 175$ in total.

if you have a gaming pc just buy a 2nd pc just for the vtubing software the low you can go is a 4 core amd a10 with a gtx 660. i get 24fps with my custom HD scene. you can build one for around $250 if you also used NDI plugin for obs and use the gpu of the main gaming pc to render the obs and output it to twitch

So any of them will work for both really... If you are using your console you will pretty much load up the youtube videos or websites on the console as well as the games... If you go at least the mid (or preferably) high tier it will do both flawless on the same machine :)

Yes for sure. Just please make sure your obs is set to nvenc as your encoder... you might struggle on higher end games and fps due to your video card... but if they are on low setting you should be okay

I honestly just wanna do it to try it out. Before I even bother with vtubing. I still need to really understand all the software and hardware most streamers would use to create their layouts and junk. I keep looking at many streamers layouts and think to myself. How the hell did you do that bloody wizard!? But the main thing. How do streamers put up measures to avoid doxing themselves, given how I'm looking at my computer and its full of stuff I really don't want the public to see. The immediate solution is 2 monitors. But I'm wondering if it can be done with just my laptop. Since I do have a nice 150 dollar 1ms 25 inch monitor. But thats expressly for gaming console which I plan to run an elgato through into my laptop. Can it be done in 1 monitor or do I need to buy a 3rd screen expressly for being the screen that my viewers see on stream?

So streamer layouts you can use something like streamelements! Everything can be done with 1 monitor and you setup OBS to only capture your game and avatar... capturing your entire desktop isnt really a thing people do anymore... if you need help with it.. join my discord and we can try to assist you!

everything seems to be able to handle vtubing to me... You states Radeon Graphics but without knowing the exact one im not sure if you could game and vtube at the same time.... but specs wise you should be able to at least stream... what you can do is install vtube studio (its free) and give it a test before you spend any more money and see how it runs

Heyo Senpai, I know I may be late to the party but I'm currently running a i5-9600K, rtx 2060 super with 2x8gb 2666mhz ram. I did try streaming with vtuber studio while playing a game like dead by daylight but the game seem to keep crashing, cpu at 98%, memory at about 90% im thinking of upgrading my ram to 16x2 but otherwise do you have any advise or optimized settings?

Yeah so this is a common issue... in vtube studio.. Anti alias put from 16x to 4x... Change resolution from 1080p to 720p max.. this will help your performance.. if you still have any issues join my discord and send me a dm

Well that comes down to a matter of opinion and budget... That also comes down to the games you want to play... I know you say "any game" but if you are only playing doki doki then I would suggest a different pc than if you were playing COD... Honestly I would look for something that has a min of an RTX 2060 (what I have) 16GB of ram min (Fastest RAM Speed you can get) and I would suggest the latest 8 core processor (Either AMD or Intel)

As what am aiming for is the streaming standards which it 1080p 60fps. BTW am also not sure if 1080p 60fps is standard or low or high but most vtubers I watch stream up to that. So I looked into that laptop itself as well.. It does seem like it will do everything you want it to..... BUT there MIGHT be some issues when you stream, vtube and game at the same time... Depending on the game it might have some lag (games like apex or valorant) if its more simpler games then I can see any issues with what you provided and what ive seen

I don't think so... Honestly I would run the obs setup and see what resolution and settings it sets you up for and then try it... Genshin isn't overly intense on any system so I think you should be fine. If you do have any issues please join my discord and dm me... @@VtuberSenpai --- A few tiny problems. First of all - VSeeFace does not run on the mac. It actually explicitly says so on their page. Just in case - I tried to follow your directions anyway. And sure enough --- their web-page was telling the truth ---- VSeeFace does not run on the Mac. As for 3tene ---- it does not seem to see anything from the webcam (even though it claims to know about the webcam) --- and therefore is completely unusable.

So I would love to use 3tene -- but if I can not figure out how to get it to react to my webcam, it is basically unusable.

Definitely! Since you have a 1660 make sure you use nvenc as it will give you more of an overhead for your cpu!
