Yeah i have revenge, dominator, 3 takedown, and this 2 point of impact, but i just like 3 takedown the most because it just feels different, the physics seem like the best and not too crazy, the ea songs collection in 3 takedown is the most enjoyable too

It's the best game of the 2nd generation burnout. imo 1st generation burnout is burnout 1 and 2 2nd gen is 3 and that psp burnout game (i forgot) 3rd gen is burnout revenge and dominator difference? different cars and stuff

11:15 Yes you can. Here is a tutorial i found: As the countdown starts, tap the brakes and immediately apply the throttle. This should make the wheels spin and make the car do a "real-life" burnout, if this doesn't happen, try again until you succeed. After the countdown gets to 1, release the throttle and then reapply it immediately as soon as the race starts. You should hear your Boost ignite as you reapply the throttle, if not, you have failed to perform a Boost Start and must restart an event if you wish to do so.

Also Theo, to do a HotRod wheelie you need to Boost Start 1) Press and hold the accelerator down 2) With the accelerator still pressed down press the brake down firmly then release it. The Controller should now be vibrating and white smoke will be pouring out from your tyres as the wheels are now spinning 3) The slightly tricky part is this. You have to release the accelerator and press it quickly down again at the correct time. When the announcer says 3 - 2 - 1 - GO, I release the button halfway between 1 and GO and press it quickly on GO. A fraction of a second after 'GO' and it doesn't work.

Finally!! Damn straight this is the best Burnout. I'd much rather have seen a remaster (or even re-release) of this instead of Paradise (was that game really in need of a remake anyway?) BTW you CAN blast off at the start (and pop a wheelie with the Hotrod) by alternating the gas and brake and do some wheelspin (a real burnout actually). I think if you timed the wheelspin and throttle just right at countdown, it would launch your car. Its really helpful in the Crashmode too.

You can do a wheelie. You can also do a quick launch with all cars by holding the accelerator and brake during the countdown, then let go and hit the accelerator right before “go!” Appears. It’s all about timing

Yo, PANTS!!! There's a trick for that wheelie start. Can't remember if it can be done in B2 but definitely B3. During the countdown at a race start, follow these steps: Brake (hold), Gas (hold), release brake, split second before GO release Gas and immediately get back on Gas. Man I miss the old days of burnout. As much as I love Paradise, it doesn’t give me the same nostalgia feel as point of impact and takedown do. This was really the highlight of arcade racing games, and as much as three fields is trying to recreate it with their new dangerous driving games, it’s just not the same.

You can boost launch by hitting the brake then the gass at the start of a race. But you need to time it properly, sort of like Mario Kart

I was introduced to Burnout thanks to my elder brother, who had purchased Burnout Dominator along with the ps2. As the matter of fact, I still own that disk :D It was an amazing game with a great variety of tracks and vehicles. It contributed heavily to my love of vehicles as a child. Also fun fact: the studio that published this game (Acclaim Entertainment) was known for questionable marketing decisions. To promote the game, they promised to pay the fines of drivers who had received a speeding ticket in the UK. The campaign was cancelled after UK government was involved.
