That warrior had max stacks for Demolish. So all classes stacked all their buffs and win conditions before this test I assume. It would be nice to separate between those who needs a proper setup and those who can do that burst without. Then we would see the real winners.

I know it's not really important, but that Balance druid did not used wraths with 'balance of all things' talents in the first few GCD of his burst... That means: A, he missed his procs from the hero talent (popping trees before burst gives 3-4 stacks) B, those stacks explode at the SAME TIME as Wrath hits so they get the same amount of crit% boost...meaning they have a bigger chance to also crit. With that, you can cast 2 Wraths and 1 Starsurge in 2GCD, that will most likely crit, with 2 burst procs from trees... That is 5 spell hits with 1,2-1,7mill damage each if they crit. Moonfire and Sunfire hits for 34K.... perfectly worthless to open with them in a burst scenario where other classes dish out 2M+ spells. :) Starsurge is the same. Don't mix up aoe and "mooooar damage in BGs" with burst. :D

I was able to squeeze out a 2100 rating on a Windwalker solo shuffle last season of dragon flight (last few weeks of season). first time hitting 2100 so I'm not the best with pvp. If I were to push for rating at this stage in war within what do you think the equivalent to 2100 would be in solo shuffle due to the lack of inflation? 1800? 1600? I wouldn't necessarily be pushing on WW. got a decently geared feral I'm getting better at. refuse to play BM

Kinda sad pretty sure fire is still one of the burstiest specs in the game. Rof/gpie > meteor > bust> 2x fireblast > pyro might actually one shot and the timer starts at first damage taken which is delayed until meteor hit here.

Prot paladins were broken season 5 and 6 of wrath because block value was uncapped shield of the righteous was hitting 60% of geared players health non crits if you had all the right pve gear. Season 7 and 8 block value had been capped and shield of the righteous had been nerfed even further. However you could stack mass amounts of pve gear because you were already tanky giving you huge amounts of strength you could stack up seal of vengeance really fast on a target the libram gave you even more strength. I just remember playing prot paladin at the end of wrath because ret got destroyed by armor pen capped warriors not because prot was actually that insane you needed the best gear to get anything done.

Yeah but now if you compare all of this an arenamatch isnt just bursting someone till hp=0 but sometimes pressuring and zerging till healers have no mana or dampening kicks in. Frost and UH dk for example are supergood for such gameplay and usually also the most total damage dealing melees in longer arena games or battleground because of the spreaded aoe potential and AoE on Battlegrounds. Some speccs fill out certain roles better than others.

Stop doing these bursting competitions if you're going to allow rampup time and buff building. It isn't realistic at all. Nobody in any pvp scenario is going to stand there and wait for their enemy to have the perfect lineup to 1 shot them.

True, but it IS saying something. At least for me, as healer, it's not unrealistic for a dps to train me for a while and build up a huge kill burst. So it tells me this: even if I keep my hp up trough the dampening and heal reducers, I have to be ready for these numbers as a worst-case scenario. Don't use your pre-conception of role think some is bad, modern healer can play agressively and use their defensive utility offensively which, if it doesn't do the job, leave them and their team vulnerable. That's good design you see in many game nowadays. About number themselves, yeah, some deserve a -25% and some a +25%, but that's just balancing.
