@@kezza6468 Have you had it from a real place? It tastes beautiful and rich and definitely not like tomato soup haha. You need the right mixture of spices, it's pretty specific and if you are lopsided (your recipe, not you) then it can screw it up pretty hard.

This is not butter chicken. More like creamy chicken. Cashews are missing, straining of the sauce us missing, marination of chicken with Garam Masala which is a huge no if you marinate. I don't know what butter chicken you are having

Rather than adding cream we indians prefer adding slightly roasted cashew paste for creamyness, it's lactose intolerance friendly. Edit: guys I don't know what's the discussion is even about, I'm saying it's just one other way our moms used to do, because it's not preferable to eat sweet and sour together according to our vedas. You can use cream all you want.

Yeah, Its only 30 minutes if you dont account the marinade time. Try making a south west version with Ancho, Guajillo, and New Mexico chile if you want a different vibe. Its phenomenal.

One story is that butter chicken, according to the Gujral family, the dish was the creation of their grandfather Kundan Lal Gujral who founded the restaurant in Peshawar, in what is now Pakistan. After India was split during partition in 1947, they moved the restaurant to Delhi. Another story suggests that butter chicken was created by a relative that worked Gujral who already lived in Old Delhi in the Moti Mahal restaurant in the Daryaganj neighborhood in Dheli. One thing is certian, It was popularized in India

After you blend the sauce its a great technique to press the sauce through a fine strainer. You dont NEED to do this but if you dont have a high-end blender you'll definitely appreciate the effect.

You can use whatever chili powder you have, turmeric, cumin and coriander powder. Those are the main and most essential spices. Also you can add whatever local spices you like to it too, it’s a fusion dish so make it to your taste

I make Butter Chicken twice a month, i can legit eat it everyday and not get sick of it And when i make it i make it with both ground chicken(butter chicken's chicken balls) and chicken breast, usually big amounts of 5-6lbs when i cook
