The Best Cabin Onboard? Queen Elizabeth Princess Grill Suite 5002 Full Tour

For those interested in the history of the naming of Cunard's Queens Grill and Princess Grill, this is the explanation as I understand it: Cunard was one of the first lines to offer a "specialty dining" restaurant, but at the time it was exclusively available for their First Class guests at no extra cost. The restaurant served grilled meats (among other things!) and the name "Grill" soon became associated with first class travel onboard Cunard's ships. The name stuck, and was eventually formalised in the naming of Cunard's mini suites and upper suites as 'Queens Grill' and 'Princess Grill' respectively. I'll discuss it more in my upcoming cruise review video, but it is very interesting!

Looks a lovely spacious cabin. How was the location being next to the crew use area? Was there much activity and noise?

No, we didn't hear much noise at all. But I imagine there could be from time to time.

I like this configuration. It reminds me of the aft sky suites on solstice class. It’s a shame grills don’t include any drinks package, tips, or wifi - then they’d actually be competitive

It's a wonderful room. Very true, the Grill room inclusions are pretty sparse compared to some other suite offerings.

Did you feel much movement in this suite being as it is at the front of the ship??

A little more than you would midship, but in fair seas you won’t notice a big difference. If things get a little rough, and you’re sensitive to movement, I would suggest avoiding these 2 cabins.

As the restaurant served grilled meats, the name "Grills" became associated with the class of travel and the included restaurant perk, and over time it morphed to describe their Suite Class. They have Queens Grill as the top tier and Princess Grill as their second. I'll discuss it more in my upcoming cruise review video, but it is very interesting!
