I just purchased this watch today, simply because of your review of it. I’ve watched a lot of other reviews on this particular watch, and they all do a good job at describing it, but your review is the one that made me buy it. I feel exactly the same as you do about this watch, from everything I’ve read, or watched about it, it’s a fantastic homage to the datejust, and at 38mm, is a perfect size for my 6 1/2 wrist. I love the golden colored movement in the watch as well. Everything I’ve read about the Sea-Gull movement in it, is that it’s a pretty reliable movement, so I’m not worried about needing to have the Miyota in it. The Sea-Gull movement will do just fine. Plus, it looks way better to me personally! Thanks so much for your awesome review of this blue dialed version. The blue really pops, and it’s the color I purchased as well. I can’t wait to get this watch in the post and love wearing it.

I really like your reviews, you explain in an honest and practical way what these different watches are like to own and use. I checked the MIYOTA webpage and they say that 8285 movement is discontinued, so you probably get 8215 which should have a hacking function as well..

There's a choice now between seagull and miyota for same price. The seagul has hacking and bidirectional rotor, and ornate finish. The miyota is not hack and one direction rotor that i hear needs oiled, and not very pretty but is Japan made.

I also ordered this one, it said Seiko hn35 a movement in the mail with the seller, he said no seiko35 movement, but Seagull that breaks after a year or so, have not received the watch yet, but wants half € 50, 00 back aliexp, working on it, Seagull is an unreliable timepiece, clock of €10 so, I'm curious
