Thank You for being serious about using the Drone and getting your Part 107. There are many with You Tube Channels that either feel they are above the law or are just too lazy to put in the effort to do things the correct way. Props to you! You will find that drone footage enhances your videos and you are correct about the Controller, once you upgrade to one that includes the monitor built in, you will never look back!

DJI is the bomb. I used my pocket 3 in Las Vegas on my last trip and it was sick. Battery life and recording was awesome, highly recommend. I have the action camera and the drones as well. I have the Mini Pro 4, and the Air 3S. Get the Dji RC 2 that controller for the drones is way better than using your phone.I love drones!!!

Thanks for this great, informative video, Ryan, we really appreciate it. We started out with cheap Amazon mics and have upgraded to DJI and Rode wireless mics as we’ve gotten more serious about filming. I had a DJI gimbal but I was not a huge fan of it because it would just shut off on me whenever I hadn’t moved it around in a while, maybe that was user error, but it ended up blowing several shots for me, especially when trying to record an interview or a prolonged shot. Now I just use a selfie stick and thankfully my hand it steady enough that it doesn’t shake too badly. I’ve seen a lot of creators using the DJI Osmo, and do like the fact that you can switch front to back so quickly, but I was wondering how the wireless mics connect to it? Does the receiver plug into it somehow like how it plugs into your phone’s lightning port? Thanks again!

Love our Osmo Pocket 3, I just need DJI to slow down on the mics. As soon as I purchase the first they came out with the 2's and now a mini.

It states it can handle 290 grams and a 15 Pro Max is 221 grams. As long as you don't have a ridiculously bulky case and have the magnet centered well it does just fine. I'd love to hear what you think of the mic mini's, I am still up in the air about downgrading a few features to get a smaller mic size or not yet.

@ good to know. I read some reviews saying it was a little tough for it to work well due to the weight. I will let you know, I’m moving away from GoPro and got the action 4 on the Black Friday deal and supposedly you can hit the link button to start and stop recording with the mic mini. The mic2 may do that with your pocket 3 but I don’t know.

@@Wayfinder_JT I would say it starts to get close to pushing the weight limit, but I was able to use it just fine. Yes, I can start/stop recording with the DJI Mic 2 remotely. You sound like me always excited to try out new gear! 😁

You a said the dji Pocket 3 is not very expensive lol 😂 it’s actually the most expensive vlogging camera you can buy compared to the stand alone dji Osmo Action 4 which is currently only £199 ($252)

I know many people who walk around theme parks with VERY expensive DSLR setups costing thousands. I have seen people with Sony ZV-1’s and similar cameras at $700-800 range. So a $500 camera with its capabilities is not very expensive compared to those options IMO.

@ the stand alone Pocket 3 is £489 ($621) which is more than double the price of an Action 4 so I would say it was expensive also theme park vloggers who use a huge expensive DSLR camera and Rode mic set up are just stupid lol 😂
