BMPCC4K channel here! I've been in the market for a field monitor. Thanks for your review! I really like this monitor more than Atomos / SmallHD. I'm most likely going to go with the budget option and get the Feelworld 7" UltraBright.

Great review. I have a number of other monitors but may have to get one of these too.

how accurate would you say the colour is in comparison to the BMPCC 4k monitor? this is a big concern for me with any external monitor.

Great review. Thanks! May I ask which articulated arm (and any other accessories) are you using to put the monitor on the side of the rig instead of the top? Thanks man!

Nice you don't start with "what's up guys..." like 50000 other KZbinrs. Good review, don't understand why you don't have more views... Have you tried the touch screen with a matt film on it? That screen is really shiny, and there is nothing worse than seeing a perfect reflection your own fat face when trying to compose/focus...

whelp they where smart to send you one to review because it just landed them a sale. How would you recommend mounting it to a tilta? Sorry I’m new to all of this. I’ll be getting my Black magic 6k by the end of the month

Nice review but normally when you hook a video transmitter and a monitor you should first plug the video transmitter to your camera to avoid lag and then the monitor to the monitor. Hence an hdmi in and out is required.

great video!! i just paired my bmpcc 4k with the BM5WR just now,. i'm able to control it from the monitor but the monitor isn't showing what's on my camera, the screen is the default screen. do i need to connect something else via cable? i thought that the blue tooth connection will also connect the video? thanks!

This is really strange - I used HDMI in and attached a SDI 3G out to a Hollyland C1 and nothing - I posted on the Portkeys page on FB and someone said I needed a HDMI to SDI converter 😲! I'm a little reluctant to get this as I fear too many things in the chain might cause latency.

Please do a video showing pairing using bluetooth module! The new firmware menu interface is super confusing.

How much more power consumption when you turn the bmpcc6k bluetooth on comparing to having it off? :D

Hi Michael. great review. We are really interested to buy this monitor. But we have one major question... is it possible output 4k signal with HDMI to this monitor...Actually, what is the best option to output 4k or even better 6k signal from BMPCC 6k to PortKey bm5 SDI ?
@DerWitsch4 жыл бұрын
The BMPCC 4k/6k just outputs 1080p on its hdmi port

Anyone struggling to find these atm? I've found a mark 2 and mark 3 version but neither have the bluetooth module and most are out of stock. If anyone has found the bm5-iii with the bluetooth module let me know

When using this recorder on Black Magic do you get better quality in the image like it would do a dslr

On the pocket 4k and 6K you don't need external recording if you record to the right media (like C-fast or an SSD). I'm not sure this is an external recorder. Seems it's just a monitor.

Does it take 4k 60p signals or just 30p?

Thanks for the review. One question though. I see you can input to the monitor at 5.7k via HDMI from the new BMPCC but can you loop out of the SDI at HD? My video send is HD-SDI and I can do this with the Pix-e5. Can I do it with this?

I hope this answers your question: I go from my monitor to the camera via HDMI and then I loop out to my wireless video transmitter through the SDI port.

@@initialfocus Hi can you advise me which Portkeys monitor is the best for wireless camera control? Here's the models: BM5WR LH5P BM5 III BM5 II BM5 And can you share some links for best 4k hdmi cable + charging monitor cable from v-mount battery? Thanks
