Thanks for putting the items and more importantly the cost of said items in the description. That earned a like. Though they were all way more than i would spend so i didn’t finish the video

Hearing you talk about not folding up like a taco in the Haven hammock tent, we need to get a meme created of you in a gathered end hammock folded up like a taco.....with some lettuce tossed on to you for effects. The best piece of camping gear I used this year was the Kilo Gear coffee/side table. Simple round table with 3 legs, mesh hanging basket for supplies underneath, and a center pole extending up so you can hang a lantern from it.

I'll wait for that to present itself. ha ha ha! That Kilos table is rad!

The haven is a cool design but the amok draugr seems like it solves the issues people have with gathered end hammocks a lot better all while being much lighter. The haven is like being in a bivy tent but the amok is super open/roomy. Also, the amok will work with the tensa hammock stands so it's actually quite doable to backpack with a flat lay style hammock and a stand. The yobo is nice but it's super heavy and expensive for what it is.

Those cheap nylon tents are great until you experience the Kodiak Canvas tents. Their Flex Bow or cabin tents are a game changer! You gotta review/compare their 6 man tents. Seriously a game changer with unmatched quality and durability!

@@26parma I did get a Flex Bow 8x9, I think after you had mentioned it in a previous video. You’re right, it’s a rad, beast of a tent. I also just got a White Duck Rover that I’m going to do a winter camp with here soon with the wood stove. I’m digging the canvas approach!

@@BackcountryExposure they have been such an upgrade for my family. We even bought a second one! We have a 12x9 cabin with a built in awning for base camps/longer stays and a 10x10 flex bow for overlanding trips where a quick setup and we stay at different locations each night. And competitive edge products offers discounts to local Utah residents!

It's amazing how much cheaper the car camping gear is vs backpacking gear, especially the more expensive brands. You can buy two of the nemo tents for what a zpacks duplex cost. You can buy the haven stand plus the hammock for what a zpacks duplex costs. When you mentioned the UGQ pillow, I knew it would be way more expensive than the hest pillow. Same goes for the nemo daypack ($180). I do like these car camping videos though, cool to see your wife, kids and of course the dog!

Hmm I think I'd prefer my gathered end hammocks instead of that heavier hammock. Mine are plenty comfy with the use of an underquilt and top quilt

Hmm... I've been good with my GSI pour-over, but I may need to pick up one of those Outin Nanos!
