The verse is very clear that this prince (understood to be the antichrist) will confirm a covenant, and in other translations it says "he'll strengthen A covenant" for a period of 7 years,not ruling for 7 years, as matter of fact the text even goes on to suggest that he'll confirm,i.e an already existing covenant, all of these details are inconsistent with the claim that the mahdi is the antichrist

Dajal means “The Deceiver” - Note, it is not the name for Jesus, and is even written having only one eye and being born in Damascus and claims to be God. 2nd, No where in the Bible does it say which nations the Anti-Christ leads. It’s a complete mystery in Christianity. Al-Mahdi is written to having his whole “life” written out. Around 30 he enters as an irrelevant person and serves as a negotiator/ “peace keeper.” Then around the Age of 40, he is revealed to be Al-Mahdi, and begins Conquering his enemies, written as “Russia, China, Iran, Syria, Pakistan, Lebanon, Turkey, Egypt, Libya, Palestine, Jordan, and 3 Others that go unnamed.” For a Muslim Messiah, he sure does spend a lot of time fighting Muslim Countries. There is a large time gap between his age of 44 (maybe even 48) and 70 where he is obscure, retired, or just leading Islam but not doing much with it. The Dajal comes in his last 1.5 years alive. So to claim Al-Mahdi is the Anti-Christ is rather hilarious and incredibly misinformed. The Dajal is even written to be Muslim who deceived the whole world that he is God, reconstructs the Temple of Jerusalem, (IE does so by destroying Al-Jazer) and declares himself God. It’s more like the Dajal = The Antichrist, and Jesus and Al-Mahdi, (IE Christians and Muslims work together) to defeat him.
