Mana, why don’t Protoss players ever do fake cannon rushes? Seems like you have to pull so many workers or invest in defense in such a way that it would always give you an advantage to fake it (unless you get early scouted, seems like it would very good versus Zerg). You don’t need to build a forge, just place your pylons down near Zergs natural and they will pull like 5 drones to defend. Then you just cancel right before the pylon(s) finish.

At Mana's level they usually don't pull that many workers until you commit.

Can you not build on the high ground with the pylon on the low ground? Haven't played the game for 8+ years sorry. If it is possible, then I don't understand g1

Yea you can't warp in / build from lowground -> highground I would say for more than 10 years already at this point :D Highground -> lowground is available.

If you're wondering, the so called perfect cannon defence from game 1 instantly dies to 1 adept. since his pylon was completely misplaced you can kill it and the first gateway, then kill all the probes by just shading past the cannon.
