I'm not crazy over Chesed but it makes sense based on what I know. He seems like a pretty calm person who's reliable to be by your side (as seen in his core floor mechanics). He may not be the best at communicating his feelings when it comes to wanting companionship but he'll probably be good when you need someone to talk to who isn't afraid to question your bad decisions/outlook. The free coffee is a bonus

Seeing you comment how Roland is made for expository dump but they handle it well reminded me of something. One of the reasons why I also like how its handled is the fact that Roland also gets expository dumped. Roland may know a lot about the world outside the Library, but he knows nothing about the world inside it. Likewise, Angela knows a lot about Abnormalities and other things inside the Library, but knows next to nothing about whats outside. Seeing them share knowledge with eachother and them relating that new knowledge to what they already know makes it feel way more natural imo. And of course, its not like together they know everything. There are still things that neither of them recognize, and seeing them try to make sense of those things with their prior knowledge makes it more believable than if they Roland magically knew the deepest secrets of super crime organizations or something.
