The lack of Yusuf from TBoGT hurts my soul. 😢 Man dropped everything just to give Luis some last minute cover fire in his freaking *attack helicopter* with *zero* hesitation. He definitely should have been considered among those who are most loyal to the protagonists. It's one awesome example of his boisterous, bombastic, extravagant, fun-loving, and hilariously out of touch personality. It also helps that his missions brought back the over-the-top action and spectacle that was missed during GTA IV and The Lost and the Damned.

I don't know why you chose Lamar over Michael. Lamar is quite a simple character. He grew up in the hood and became affiliated with gangs at a (we can assume) pretty young age. He is a firm believer that the gang life is all he has and he very much enjoys the gang culture and shows no intentions of ever leaving that life behind unlike Franklin. He never really goes through an ark and is practically the same character at the end of the game as he was in the beginning. Not saying that Lamar is a bad character, I love Lamar. He is def one of my favorite GTAV characters. But Michael is far more complex and interesting as a character. He is pretty much THE main character of the game and everything revolves around him and his choices. If it wasn't for Michael, Franklin would still be participating in low-life gang violence and would have probably ended up dead at some point. Trevor would still be living in that trailer cooking meth. Michael also goes through a lot of change throughout the story. At first he hates his family and thinks that he is better than all of them. He yells at Jimmy for sitting and playing his video games all day but then goes and watches old movies and sits by the pool all day. He hates Amanda for "cheating" on him (they pretty much have an open marriage) but he is the first one to cheat. But after he spends some time away from them (when he gets stuck in the desert) he starts to realize that he actually loves them despite their flaws and starts to actually miss them. He goes through an ark and realizes that his family is fucked up because he is fucked up. I could go on and on but one other aspect about Michael that I like is that he goes from this selfish dude that takes the majority of the score for himself to giving up his part of the pay to the other crew members after he is called out for being selfish by Franklin (and previously by Trevor when they were stuck in the desert) I actually love that scene with Michael and Trevor where Trevor points out how it's typical for Michael to immediately worry about himself and make everything about him and Michael realizes that he does do that and apologizes to Trevor for it. Michael just goes through the most change, from accepting his family and doing everything to get them back, to accepting his life as a criminal instead of pretending to be a normal person and by eventually burying the hatchet with Trevor. He is the most complex and interesting character of the game for me.

Toni Cipriani does have a good trait in him: loyalty, and LCS kind of shows you the downside of being loyal. Even though his Ma took out a contract on him, and Salvatore even pull a gun on him during his peak paranoia moment (without an apology), Toni literally soldiered on to earn their approval. Someone who is not loyal would have said "screw that" and left them to their devices, but not Toni. Even then, Toni's loyalty was not rewarded, cause even after moving heaven and earth to put Salvatore on top of the food chain, Salvatore still screwed him over, not by killing him, but cheating him half of the promised money.

8:12 *Fun facts about Vice City : It seems that the Forellis are the 3D era Gambinos ,so Sonny is the 3Ds Gotti , although I can't be 100% sure that the Gambinos were the 1st Italian - US crime organization in Miami ,* *Tommy's based on : Tony Montana and Joseph Ianuzzi Jr. however there's also a possibility that Jon Roberts (born John Riccobono) that supposedly was a Gambino soldier , was also taken as an inspiration to the creation of Tommy, while the original Vercetti's appearance was reminiscent of Ray Liotta , the Definitive Edition bears more similarity to Vincent Gigante who was the boss of the Genovese crime family on the other hand* *Upon further investigating the Gambinos and Florida , I found out another parallel 'tween Tommy and Joseph Armone this time, as Gotti have sent 'em in '86 to Florida in order to supervise the Gambinos interests in there* *Adding to the fact of Ianuzzi Jr. working for Gambinos , Thomas Agro to whom Ianuzzi was owning money to , was Gambinos consigliere and worked under the aforementioned Joseph Armone!* *I've something more , something that I ain't seen coming , well there was another guy related to the Gambinos making moves in Miami, before '70s and his name was Thomas Altamura , and that's not all , it turns out that beside being a Mobster he owned a food place that was called ... Sonny's Restaurant , ....and he had close ties with Santo Trafficante , coincidence? , his mugshot looks suspiciously familiar ain't it ??*

39:55 *Niko Bellic is one of the best developed (GTA) characters, inspired by the fictional character of Sasha Ivanic (from the movie "Behind the enemy lines") and it also looks that He was created to some extent to resemble Boško Radonjić also known as "The Yugo" , a real life Serbian immigrant criminal that was operating in New York in the '70s ,* *He's arrival by the boat in LC kinda reminds of the arrival of Antonio Montana in the movie SCARFACE.* *One more fun fact, Grand Theft Auto Vice City stories plot is also more adult , tragic , showing that the life of a criminal can have damaging consequences*

a great video as always. Btw man, I think you could have used some clips from the mission "Roman's Sorrow" which, at least for me, shows how a criminal like Niko affects normal people like Roman, who work honestly for his pay since he got to the city, unlike Niko who immediately got his hands dirty.

For me, it‘s Ken Rosenberg in Vice City. I really like Catalina too, because she‘s such a psychopath. Phil Cassidy is also iconic and had such great moments. Lil Jacob from IV is great, I love Michael from V, he‘s the first family man and has the most interesting dynamics.

Zero is number 1 out of 10 nominees. It makes perfect sense because you can't make 10 without a 0, which is also paired with the number 1. Zero is the true GOAT of the GTA series lol.
@DougGlendower8 ай бұрын
Zero literally could not work in any other game in the series, but actually fits in with the early 90s pastiche of San Andreas. He's part Screech, part Urkel and I love to hate him for it.

The thing about Claude is that although they didn’t bother creating a character for him, they unintentionally made him (imo) one of the most unique characters in video games. He is completely silent, cold-blooded, emotionless. He is the embodiment of a psychopath with obvious signs of alexithymia. He always has an expressionless face probably because he just never feels anything. I really can’t think of another character who is similar to him.
@malletUsergaming8 ай бұрын
He really isnt a psychopath just because you say so, its a complex disorder that requires way more diagnosis criteria to be labled as one, i found the characters he was working for actuality being psycotic then what he was

GTA SA takes place about 9 years before GTA3 meaning Claude and Catalina dated for about as long. That means Claude put up with and possibly even enjoyed "the rack" as well as all of Catalina's other antics (sexual or otherwise) for 9 years. As far as gta protaganists go he's probably the craziest(and maybe freakiest too) just for that fact alone. I personally don't think Trevor, who I think most people would think of if asked who the craziest gta character is, would even be able to deal with her. That man is hiding so much of his crazy just by being mute that people usually don't think of him as one of the crazier gta protags, at least not right away. He never shows remorse for anything he does and has no hesitation when doing bad things. He's really similar to the GTA Online player characters in that way. Which is kind of cool cause he can actually be your online character's father.

I have a blind and special needs brother. As such, Woozie resonates with me a lot, seeing a blind character be so bad-ass. In my opinion, the blind jokes are a little shallow, but definitely not cringe. Infact. I'm happy that my favorite gaming franchise has a blind character that's so respectable. He's blind, not stupid. Love it

@justsomeguy7478 ай бұрын
I always found myself greatly relating to Johnny and CJ, but I guess you don’t like them very much, which is fine, I guess. I personally find Tommy extremely overrated and plain unlikeable at times and can honestly attribute that “above all else, is loyal to himself” to Tommy as well. I agree with GTA 3’s nominations as well as GTA VC but perhaps you could’ve picked Cortez or even Sonny due to the lore he has. I like your SA nominations but as I said I think CJ is a relatable character, and I also found Sweet very relatable. I also like Smoke and Ryder a lot. I also love your GTA 4 and VCS nominations but I think Dimitri and Armando Mendez also deserves a spot. As for TLAD, I love Johnny so I was disappointed that he didn’t make it to the nomination. He’s the only Jewish protagonist in the series and that alone makes him unique as well as his heart of gold despite being a hardened criminal and not a psychopath like Claude, Tommy or Toni. I also love Jim and Billy but Billy is a bastard like you said. In TBOGT I find Mori to be extremely hilarious. I also greatly appreciate Bulgarin’s role.

When I was a kid I was too stupid to get far in Vice City so my favorite character was Lance Vance, in the early part of the game he came off to me as cunning, intelligent, charismatic and most importantly, cool. I wouldn't find out until later that he's a whiny lazy (still charismatic) dude essentially. Honestly he might be part of the reason I have a mustache because I always thought he looked awesome with one LOL.
