Thanks. Turbulent times and I have been picking up a few items before the election goes down. Decided it’s time to get some body armor for me and my wife and daughter in case we have to bug out. There is so many and the price is all over the place.

They're all sturdy. For a real life go to, I like the swimmers cut.

For plates, especially if you're budgeting, armored republic's carriers are good. I don't love them, but they're good for the price. Wait till they run deals, last week you could get a belt, carrier, and some molle attachments for less than 300 bucks. Just make sure you go with a reputable company, wouldn't want to cheap out and have your plates fall out while training.

I’m just starting my research into products like this. I’m kinda like everyone else now days budget is my main concern. Can I still get something quality and not spend an arm and a leg? Is most of these vests made of Kevlar? I live in the suburbs but have a remote area I can retreat to if things ever get bad. My wife thinks I’m crazy because I have 6 months of food stocked and am looking into body armor. In the town over from us about 15 minutes away a person that was in our country without permission took a woman’s life and other bad stuff. I think she’s crazy to not be prepared for a few worst case scenarios including a break in.
