I made this without the chili sauce because I just happened to have all of the other ingredients in my fridge needing to be cooked. It came out amazing and the family loved it!!! Right now I've got the same ingredients available but chicken breasts. I think I'm going to try something similar with them.

I made this for dinner tonight, and it was fantastic!!!! My husband and I loved it. I followed your direction exactly, and it was perfect. The only thing I did different was add a lot more tomato paste….probably a half cup and mozzarella cheese all over the top. This recipe is definitely a keeper!

This definitely looks like a dish that I would definitely like to make. It’s relatively simple only a few ingredients and best of all 2 pots and less than a half dozen of kitchen utensils. So easy clean up and hopefully sit down to what appears to be a delicious 😋 meal.

They are obsessed with insulting the North and even more so, they talk up the South constantly. We from the North don't constantly condescend upon the South or boast of the North . In fact, we don't give it a thought. Their obsession and the way they groom the next generation to be the same is weird.

I have friends in Germany and have seen many German dishes that use the same basic ingredients and similar recipes. This is solid home cooking, like most food there. Here, I don't care for the amount of chicken fat and butter used to saute the onions, potatoes and carrots. You can see it on the plate when served. Half the residual fat would have browned the onions and the potatoes. The oven would have crisped them as well. The sauce is a matter of taste (if sweet appeals, enjoy), but pouring it over the thighs detracts from the nicely browned, crisp chicken skin. I liked the fresh parsley and would have liked lemon rosemary and fresh butter (if needed) at the end. Germany has some of the best artisan breads in Europe. When there, I skip the ever present potatoes and substitute their hearty "leckere Brote." Vielen Dank für das Rezept!
