It’s crazy because the mukbang community & tiktokers have brought this restaurant back to life what it was once before. I remember this restaurant being the place to go for your graduation, a party or taking your girl out to eat at. It then became like a red lobster or Applebees to where it faded out of that & people didn’t care for it anymore. Now since its resurgence at the start of the year, it’s back popping how it used to be🔥 & this restaurant is more than the triple dipper 😂 but Ik that’s what brought back so many people to it but still chillis always been gas

Chilis has always been incredibly popular. Ive lived around various chilis forever and they are always packed even a decade ago. Chilis never needed reviving but of course social media is always good marketing for various corporations.

@@infrared6973I have about 4 different locations near me, 2 within 20 minutes from each other & 1 about 45 mins away & another about an hour away. Visited all 4 multiple times & each time they dry & not as packed as I remember. Around like march or April I visited all 4 of them again in the span of 3 days & they were packed out like back in the day. It’s no doubt that tiktok & KZbin mukbanging put chillis back kn the map lol, just 2-3 years ago it’s like they wasn’t selling & I would go on the weekends as wel fast forward 2 years later they’re as popular as they were in like a decade or so

@ could just be where you live but here the two locations we have are constantly slammed from the time they open until they close and unless you show up when they open the doors its crazy tryna get in.

@@Papellxhaseto be fair, 2-3 years ago, a lot of restaurants have to be closed down. My family went to chilis about a year after the restrictions were lifted and it wasn’t very packed. But that was the case for a lot restaurants. Menus were cut down, service was awful and even the cooks weren’t great. A lot of these restaurants have since recovered and I think it’s more to do with the fact that we are finally getting out of the post pandemic “slump” that affected a lot of restaurant chains.

Three for me is amazing! I work with intellectually disabled adults. They have limited money, and Chili’s is one of the few places that they can go to and get a super good meal at a great price. I am a huge fan of Chili’s and so are my clients!!

When I worked at cooking at Chilis a decade ago we weren't supposed cut the southwestern eggrolls for to-go orders because it makes them get cold faster and the filling could spill all over the rest of the appetizers in the container. It did happen a lot that they got cut just out of pure muscle memory though.

FYI: They don't cut the eggrolls ordered for to-go. Been that way for many years; my guess is it's just to keep the eggrolls warmer for longer. That avocado ranch still smacks though. They make it in house.

2020 was the first time I ever had Chili's, I got a nice coupon from Doordash and figured I'd try it, and I got hooked. Ate it at least once a week for pretty much the entirety of covid as a reward for all the extra hours I worked, and the triple-dipper and burger was my go-to as well. VERY underrated burgers, and the southwest eggroll is elite.

Red lobster is on the verge of closing now in our area too in South Jersey however, if they would improve the quality of food and lower, the price is a little bit it would be a lot better but if you want better quality of food, especially lobster and shrimp. I would just go to the lobster house in Cape May. If it wasn’t for those cheesy bread, they probably would’ve been already out of service.
