I'm team "real tree". I've never had a fake one in my life. The scent is part of the atmosphere for me. As for the decorations, I've always preferred a combination of silver, white and dark blue. So that's my Xmas tree theme every year. Each year I add a few unique pieces to my ornament collection. Mainly vintage looking stuff ...deer, snowflakes, ballerinas. I love turning my home into a magical winter wonderland.

Another great vlog, the variety of the decorations was amazing. The Christmas Tree tableaus had a nice variety too but seemed cozier last year for some reason. Maybe it's just me. All in all a top notch vlog and I can't wait for the next one.🎄♥

Large Ornaments. Heather they are beautiful even in a slim tree. Every tree should have some. In a small tree just 3 in the front will do. Not ‘in-line’ but placed ‘zig-zag’. On a 7’ tree, 6 or so, placed on the sides that you can very clearly see is wonderful. Kind of snuggle them inside more than poking out away from the tree. Years of tree decoration advice from a professional. 😊 Thanks for sharing. The tour was WONDERFUL! So many unique things. I have not seen a lot of those things in the states. Hello Hannah. Just to say how much I enjoy your vlogs. Only just come across them and had to say in these depressing times how much they lift my spirits. In 2022 I celebrated my 70th birthday and part of the treats we enjoyed was a Christmas afternoon tea on an old style double decker London bus that was decorated for Christmas and we toured all the Christmas lights in the West End. It was magical and the non-Brits we had in our party were so excited and overwhelmed by the experience. Very touristy I know but it was Christmas!

Totally agree.. that red was to red. I love a traditional tree with gold, wood, greens and red.. but a dark bordeaux red...not a bright cherry red. We have a real tree when we are home for Christmas and use a fake tree when we go away because i don't want my 5 to 20 £ handmade glass ornaments and wood ornaments falling off and breaking when we are away...which could happen with a real tree due to pine needles dropping off. Christmas in London is just amazing! 🥰😍 I can't get enough, thank you for doing these vlogs! ☺ I was always a real tree purist and swore I'd never get a fake tree. Then we moved into a home with very tall ceilings and now we have a fake tree. 🙄It's just honestly SO much easier and I can keep it up for months rather than a few weeks. (I decorate it for Halloween and fall too.) I do go to the Christmas tree lot to get some real scraps and put them in a little fabric bucket, that way I still have the real tree smell in the house. 🙂

Lovely tour of what is available at JL, those bears! I love themes, as I am single I tend to start from scratch and put baubles of my fav color on the tree as a base THEN start buying ornaments that say ME, every year I buy ONE extravagant bauble (like that greenhouse, yes please) and that is how I have created my collection for my tree. As I love REAL trees I don't want to buy a real tree & then toss it aside when the holiday is over, I'd rather enjoy it in the forest. Fake trees are so lifelike so that is what I have.

I just want to say thank you again for taking all the time out that you do to make these wonderful Christmas vlogs!!! There are so many things to see in London and you do such a great job sharing your insight with all of us. Its so interesting to see all the different ways people choose to decorate and I so enjoy them all. They sure wouldn't work for me I'm a bit too traditional but its so fun to see. I'm real tree all the way especially if you have children but of course that just depends on what works for the person. I have an artificial tree now because I can't deal with a real one anymore. Going out and cutting down our family tree and the adventures we had here in Alberta, Canada are still some of our families favorite memories. Trekking through the snow, freezing some years lol! Memories, that's what its all about!!!

My dad was a career fire fighter we never had a real tree except one year. When Christmas was over he took the tree and set it up against our metal swingset and lit it on fire. It burned it may be less than a minute. He looked at us and said that’s why we can’t ever have a real tree again. True story. I’ve had Live wreaths that only when they were put on the front door facing out.

Omg, here in the US, a standard tin of Quality Street is $30. So even with the exchange rate, John Lewis' personalized, special edition tin would be cheaper. My British subscribers were shocked when I showed in a vlog last month how much it cost at a shop here in the US that sells them. All the British imports get so marked up.

Oh my goodness! I remember getting a big bag of Quality Street chocolates as a kid 😂😂😂. My dad was working in South Africa and would come home to Portugal every Christmas and he always bought them back. The purple ones are definitely my favourite 😂😂😂. We eventually all moved to South Africa in '86 and then we could get them all year round.
