Interesting to hear you prefer the way John Lewis decorate their trees. I agree. They produced a "how we do it" video a few years ago and the key is to dress the tree all the way through to give maximum impact. So the baubles are inside as well as the on the edge. I took that to heart and use that technique now on our main tree. It's an 8ft artificial which we decorate with around 300 (!) baubles in red, silver and gold using the John Lewis method. It looks spectacular !

Everything is so beautiful. I lean toward traditional glass ornaments in red, gold, silver, and blue. However, I would love to see a whole tree decorated with the peacock and teal ornaments. That would be gorgeous!

I was so excited to find Marks and Spencer items in my Target. There were light up shortbread tins and Percy Pig. I was gushing as I told my daughter I recognized them because Hannah had shown them on her video. I am 63 years old I think she thought I had lost a few marbles becoming that giddy, LOL! I love seeing all the shops…and streets….so beautifully decorated in London… There is always such a controversy here in the States about when to display Christmas…Old school here is after Thanksgiving…..but then that only leaves you with only 24 days to display all your Christmas baubles and goodies….lol I have a “wooden birdhouse” advent…with 25 little doors that open…It came with tiny garden things..watering can, garden hat, ect….but I now add little candies and chocolates too….

I can’t imagine a crocodile or a hippo decoration on a tree. My tree decorations are very traditional. I actually collected a lot of my decorations from my travels, some from London. Red, Green, Gold theme mainly. I love both Liberty and Fortnum & Mason. For me they offer different shopping experiences. The food hall in F&M is a joy to walk around. I love the haberdashery floor in Liberty. I’m always envious of people who are good at dressmaking. I am always tempted to buy some of their beautiful fabric and get something made.

You are so right about the music in the stores. I have occasionally walked in to a store and walked out again because of the loud music. I have acute hearing and it drives me mad. I do love Liberty though, gorgeous everywhere. The felt decorations are the way to go if you have small children.

Oh my gosh... as much as I like the decorations at the other stores - the Liberty ornaments are outstanding! I love their colors (which you can mix and match for your own style) and quirkiness of subjects. I agree with you about the music... I know the volume is jacked up to help drown out the other guests and patrons, however I much prefer a more subdued sound (in the background) rather than in your face. It was so nice to see one of your videos again Hannah! 'Til next time...

Loved this! Fun as always Hannah. Was waiting for Liberty. I have expensive glass tree hangers and expensive hand made wooden tree hangers. I grew up with cheap plastic hangers in the UK, but I live in Germany and its normal to only have expensive glass hangers.. Kids here learn from baby to "look" and "not touch".. then when they help decorate the tree, you give them eg straw, felt or cheap glass hangers to learn..the by 5yrs old they are fine with the more expensive ones. You are right that music is horrifically LOUD..I would have to wear earplugs walking around the shop...very annoying..it would definitely spoil the shopping experience.

Hannah never mentioned it but a bird came fluttering by as she was looking at something on the tree 🌲 that took me by surprise- I felt compelled to go back and rewatch and yes it was a bird. I hope the bird was ok? Throughly enjoyed the video- kind of my dream life - to go through the luxury stores and ponder what’s my fancy (this pretty thing or that pretty thing) and then have a delightful lunch (cheers Natalie. I have seen the most adorable toadstool mushroom ornaments/decorations across several of your vlogs and it's killing me because I can't find that here in the US. The ones I've seen here are more cartoon-ish. Thanks for showing the paper advent calendars. Those were the type I grew up with and still have. Little did I know I could have been getting chocolate.
