My grandfather owed a bakery back in the 60's, 70's & early 80's in a small town in VA. My siblings & I loved going to visit his bakery! We were allowed to eat cookies, donuts, & have a carton of milk. Ppl would come from other states to buy his baked goods. He even did political figures inaugurational cakes which were amazing the way he'd decorate them! The main thing I loved was all the wonderful smells as you'd walk into the bakery's front door. Oh how I miss him and his bakery!

What a wonderful memory of your grandfather and a great story!! I love it when people share stories like this! I wish we could see some sort of documentary video about your grandfather and his bakery. It sounds so interesting!

What a beautiful memory for you and your family the town should do a article in the local newspaper about him and his bakery. Our paper every so often does reporting about places that have been around for a long time .

Aren’t memories wonderful. I think of my grandmother often. She was an amazing cook and baker. Raised her own food, she canned and put some foods in the freezer. I loved going to her house and helping. I miss her and my mother everyday.

Hi Heather. Family comes first and if anyone expects more from you on social media they don't have any respect for you and your family. The work/life balance takes regular evaluating to get what works at that point in time for you, your family, friends, home chores, hobbies etc. Your videos are amazing and the good thing is that supporters can always watch older videos again if you miss posting a video. I lost both my parents in the past three years leaving me the last man standing. I was given two years at the most 13 years ago and while I've beaten the odds I have to rest a lot so I'm blessed to have the time to enjoy your videos. You talk, give advice, educate and make it feel like we are one big youtube family. You never fail to make me smile and I really appreciate it. 😊❤

I think because the butter needed to be melted. She added it to the milk I believe and yeast can be killed in too hot of liquid. My moms recipe has a specific temp to have the milk, butter, sugar mixture when adding to the yeast when making rolls
