DePere is not in the Fox Valley or Door County or Milwaukee regions, so how did it fall into this category? Just because it is on the Fox, it not in the Fox Valley. I live in DePere and wish you had gotten this right.

When talking about De Pere, you mentioned two High Schools East De Pere and West De Pere. That's incorrect. There is the Unified School District of De Pere, and there is the West De Pere School District. Or known as De Pere and West De Pere. The only people who say East De Pere are some of the people who live in the West De Pere School District, which shows the quality of their school district. If it will help you to remember, think Virginia and West Virginia. Nobody says East Virginia, except for perhaps some of the people who spent too much time in the coal mines in West Virginia.

I think you should add cost of living to your criteria. Door County will fall right off the list! Unless you move in financially set you will never afford to live there. They cannot even find summer workers for the tourist season. Groceries, restaurants, motor fuel all cost more plus you are an hours drive extra to go anywhere. Judged by the amount of U-haul moving caravans heading south out of that County Thanksgiving Weekend it looks like people are moving out...

What hourly rate would allow you to live comfortably in Wisconsin ? Say Appleton?

Good questions! Hourly, it’s tough for me to say. You could still probably find solid places to rent for around $1,000-$1,500/month. It’s definitely not as expensive as some other areas of the state
