you should try cqp with the gpu encoder, cqp level 14, preset quality, profile baseline, max b frames 2. then go into video, set fps to fractional and set it to 120fps and dominator 1. I promise you its the best settings you can use for hd no lag, pixels and its smooth no loss of anything

Replay buffer has to be turned on and then during your game time, just press your clip key and it will clip

My monitor is in 1440p, do you recommend I still set the base canvas to 1080p and just adjust the frame edges to include that? Or is downscaling it ok?

No set it to 1440p if that’s your base resolution. However, this means that you might experience lag or fps drops because your pc will have to work harder. You can downscale to 1080p. Just test to see what works

Try select QuickSync HEVC and see if it lags otherwise QuickSync H.264 HEVC is basically H.265 which have better file efficiency meaning you wont have to deal with crazy storage issues.

3080! That’s so good. If you have a 1440p monitor and it’s blurry it’s maybe because you are outputting 1920x1080 and the downscale filter is at the fastest speed but blurry. Make sure to set your base canvas resolution to 1920x1080 and the output to 1920x1080. The downscale filter, set that to lanzcos (36 samples) if it doesn’t fix it, increase bitrate or put preset on high quality in output settings

Obs, outplayed lowers your frames by a lot. For example I had gta at 150 fps, when outplayed is on, it lowered to 90. So orb looks like the best bc it doesn’t change your frames

Settings must be too high. I’ve had that problem. My encoder couldn’t handle the quality I wanted. Try reducing slightly some settings and keep testing

I found best settings for low end AMD laptops Recording Format: Matroska Video (MKV) Video Incoder: AMD H.264 Audio Tracks: 1 & 2 Rate Control: CBR Bitrate: 10000 Kbps Preset: Quality Profile: Main It didn't take much off my video game FPS and it performs pretty close to what I wanted it to on video
