I use a game controller with my CNC, works perfectly with Mach 3. Love them. I used the DIY instructions for my Duet based mill conversion to add a pendant, pretty simple.

I thought I had ultimate control having my wireless keyboard and the monitor mounted at the front of the CNC running Mach 3, that is until I got a Shina pendant for Mach 3 and now I have ultimate control of the CNC.

Nice pendant, only possible improvement seems to be that the machine needs to stop moving when you stop jogging. Right now it doesn't (crash hazard) . Could be fixed by update I guess.

Yes, i also got lost there!! just use an API, telnet port should always be closed!!!

@@carlosrodrigues6863 yup, reprap has a web api and this thing could easily send the appropriate g-codes using that api. Probably wouldn't even be more work for the developer given that there's plenty of libraries for embedded systems that do that and you get your results as JSON.
