If I can get them, black ring airtites are my favourite. They keep the coin snug, eliminating rattle and possible wear and they show off the coin. I bought mine in large quantities from JP's Corner, with considerable savings due to volume. Regarding soft 9999 coins, my dealer was going to send one of his Maples to be melted because it was bent but otherwise in good condition. I asked him to pass it to me and using only my fingers, I straightened it out. It was back to retail status. Have a Happy New Year.

I like keeping full tubes of silver and don't mess with them. I buy one extra coin for each tube series which I capsule for viewing. 10 oz bars I keep in the original sealed plastic, lcs prefers original wrap if I ever sale. Probably will capsules at least one of each series. They display so much better. The black trim rings highlights coins, especially gold coins. All gold gets capsuled.

I was at a coin show recently inquiring about capsules. When I pulled out a plastic "sheet" of 1/4oz eagles to show the dealers how I had them (original packaging), both dealers I spoke with encouraged me not to put them in capsules but to leave them in their original containers. Both said they'd give me more money for 'em if I left 'em in there. Now, as much as I like capsules and would like to use them, I store any purchases in their original containers, which is usually a plastic film with cardboard edges, with the receipt in a small craft bag, keeping that purchase together with itself. I still wish I had capsules for the sake of easier handling and storage, but hey, this works and I'm not the type to take 'em outta the safe for handling or viewing later. I buy 'em. I set 'em in there, and I forget about 'em for another day. A day that must eventually happen.

In a lot of cases a stacker or LCS will pay a little extra if they're not scratched, even though a lot o people claim it's all about the weight. I like "On Fire Guy".
